OK, I realise I should really go to my GP but it takes like 3 weeks to get an appointment.... plus I've moved House and haven't changed Surgerys so it's a bitch to get to.
I've had a constant pain in my left thigh for two weeks now, can't put any weight on it without pain. Walking is a problem without looking like I've crapped myself No visable signs of bruising, history of wounding or physical exersion etc, it's just "all-of-a-sudden" appeared. Any Doctors/Nurses on the Forum with a ball-park diagnosis?
Thanks

I'm not a medic but it sounds like a trapped nerve.
If you can't get to your GP go to A&E.
I've actually been thinking tonight about going to A&E tomorrow, it's the wait I'm not looking forward to, lol.
Oh well, needs must I suppose. Thanks for the reply
The wait's not going to be as long as 3 weeks.
You obviously don't know my A&E, lol Joking aside, you're right. cheers.
Might be a blood clot.
Your health services sound rather slow. Over here they are pretty quick to get you in to see a doctor. But if you don't have health insurance, things can get dicey.
could be sciatia
You could try chopping it off.
Believe me, I've considered it.
Whilst it's still troublesome, the pain has eased a little now and I'm now taking less pain killers.
Let us know what the problem was if you manage to seek medical attention.
Try drop in centre if it persists.
Come on be serious!!
NHS Direct are a useless joke of a service! Better off asking the 3 year old kid next door.
Hi, yes did that a couple of weeks ago, they advised painkillers and hot water bottle on the area (after taking every peice of personal information I had!)
It's feeling more agile today, perhaps the short break from work combined with a bit of rest has paid off.
Thanks again.
Old thread I know, but thought I'd let those who posted in it who offered advice what the problem was. After around a year of constant pain it turned out to be arthritis in my hip and I have since undergone a total hip replacement which has improved my life greatly!
I have had a pain in my left thigh for the last 6 months or so.
I'm not sure if it is diabetic neuropathy, sciatic or arthritis now.
How did they find out it was arthritis?
I'm glad your pain has improved.
Can't tell you how good it is to wake up with no pain again (and to be off Tramadol!)
Hope you get your symptoms diagnosed soon.
