They haven't been on for the last couple of years. Skeleton was on BBC Red Button a few times last year in the run-up to the Winter Olympics, but there is no sign they are doing anything for the first event next week.
Otherwise it has been web only - although to be fair the web coverage is very good, with full commentary, and all the races archived an hour or two after the live feed ends.
Yeah I thought that happened last year too (they had Luge but no Bob/Skel). I know they had a Youtube "live streaming" feature (thanks for the link), but I remember last year I found it not particularly helpful due to working most of the times when it was on. Tried to watch it later only to get a "This event has ended" style message with no apparent option to download. Ah, well...

Yeah, if you go the live link it will have ended, but like I say they usually create a separate YouTube file for the completed stream a bit later - sometimes next day though. Subscribing to the YT channel is the best option.
You know I never twigged last year it wasn't on. What time is it ? I mean, would it clash with skiing events etc ? Sometimes on a weekend BE suffers from too many sports and not enough channels. So long as they don't drop biathlon and cross country skiing
Wider question, it's very difficult to find out what's where with all these competitions, and I know Grassmarket does a fine job.
If there was a single thread (like the winter sports one) where everybody could put what they have found in one place, particulary free webcasts, I'm sure many would find that invaluable.

remember the websites have to be legal sites, ie legit ones run by the organisations etc. Advertising or posting links to online sites that are not strictly legal is not allowed.

That's what I meant!
Anyone visiting www.laola1.tv right now will find 11 live (and thoroughly legal) streams of sports including (Click on LIVE)
football
ice hockey
basketball
volleyball
handball
table tennis
Occasionally some streams are blocked in the UK (eg la Liga)
At the time of writing Minsk are leading Zagreb in an ice hockey game 3 - 1.
It's a bit like having the interactive streams at the Olympics!

It's very annoying, since it is our successful Winter Sport you would hope that the BBC at least would do a bit more to show it.
