    Because MOTD show the Premier League and this weekend there are no matches because of the FA Cup.

    There is a midweek MOTD this week, though.

    From next season MOTD will have all the FA Cup games. But why no Football League show, as usual those of us who toil in the lower divisions are ignored whenever there are no Premiership fixtures.

    MOTD is on, on Wednesday night with the upcoming midweek Premier League fixtures.

    Yeah, seems strange not to show it when there were plenty of fixtures.

    Manish was asked about this on Twitter about being no fls
    On boxing day and he said it was a budget decision and they can only show fls
    When there are 7 or more championship games

    Many people criticise MOTD, but after trying to watch the FA Cup highlights on ITV tonight, I've come to the conclusion that ITV shouldn't even be allowed to show football. Apart from their general incompetence, the ad breaks make it an absolute joke.

    Sky manage to show football with ad breaks and do it fine. It is ITV that is the problem, they have no idea how to show sport.
