Name River song calls DW in FOTD

I watched (well listened as I was painting my lounge) all the episodes of S4 before the big finale and probably because I was listening more closely in the Forest of the Dead (about 8 minutes in) DW and RS are arguing and the dialogue goes:

RS: Dear God you're hard work Yahn!

DW: Yah.. who are YOU?

Then Steve Pemberton chimes in with:

SP: Oh for heavens sake. Look at the pair of you. We're all going to die right here and you're just squabbling like an old married couple.

Which is what everyone tended to take notice of.

"Yahn" is how it sounds to me.

Is it a pet name, a nickname or part of the doctor's real name?

Did anyone else notice this or was it the paint fumes?*

*actually just checked (thank you sky+) and it wasn't the fumes! :)

Ooh, now you've said that, that line rings a bell.

    Nope no "when young"

    No "when" at all.

    Line definately goes:

Dear God you're hard work Yahn!*

Just checked three times thanks to Sky+.

Plus if it had been "when young" he wouldn't have started to repeat the name "Yahn" getting as far as "Ya" and this would not make sense if the line was "when young".

Has this never appeared in any other threads? (I'm new here).

    * my spelling of name I heard.

    Or...

"Dear God you're hard work young!"

Which would also fit with her comments about him being younger than "her" Doctor.

    Yep:)

Hence the Doctor being a bit peeved off, I mean he isn't 90yrs old anymore, although he may act it at times...:D

What if she called him the "destroyer of worlds" just like Davros named him in the medusa cascade

(don't know if anyone picked up on this, but it'd fulfil the girls prophecy when she was talking about the doctors name being hidden in the medusa cascade)

Yep - it was definitely 'you're hard work young'.

Otherwise, why would she have bothered whispering his name in his ear if she was then going to blurt it out to all and sundry a few seconds later?

I did!! You beat me to the posting though :( That's what I'm going to assume his name is (until they think of a nicer one anyway)

I picked up on this some time ago - see post here:

It probably was young, but it wasn't very well spoken by her, or responded to by DT!

    Perhaps it was YANA

Sorry, only joking, I could resist.

I've listened and can't decide if it's yarn/ yahn, young or just a sort of irritated noise.
