I find people funny when they're naturally funny or witty, and don't go overboard with trying to get everyone to roar with laughter and give them a pat on the back

I do and I don't disagree. You do get some people randomly saying things like bubblys in the fridge just because they think its amusing when it isn't. However there are a lot of posters who like a laugh and a bit of banter and will join in the mad threads, it makes for a lighter atmosphere.

But comedy is subjective. I personally dont find posts suggesting every soap character needs a toecapping funny, but as there are plenty of posters who do I just overlook them and focus on the posts I do like instead

I also find Vaslav quite funny and the reactions to his threads :D

Sorry Vaslav but nothing on here will make me laugh more than when JB said that June Brown chased Lorraine Newman with a pitchfork and you believed him :D

I was just saying I don't see why you should be patronizing and quiz me just because I don't find people that try too hard to be funny actually funny?

I wasn't patronising you in the slightest. Flippin' eck. Is there any need to be so defensive?

This thread is about who people think are the funniest FMs on here.
And I said who I thought was funniest, then said what I didn't find funny?

    Exactly

Like most FM's on here don't find any comedy SL's in soap funny, such as Billy and the football team but I usually find the odd comedy plot quite amusing :p

While we're on the subject of things I don't find funny..... laughing and mocking others or anyone who goes on a thread created by someone they clearly don't like just to have a pop

Sorry but I have to say it

Thank you Aaron, you sweetie. Don't think anyone has ever called me funny before. :kitty: Right back at you. ^_^

I'll also add Chris Mark to this thread. His smutty sense of humour is right up my street. :D

Aha thanks fella :) It's now the top result on google for 'Lorraine Newman Pitchfork', which I imagine is a proper popular search term :D

That's a shame. I am officially not funny going by these lists. Oh well. Then again comedy isn't something i really look into on a DS member but it's a tiny plus if they are naturally funny.

Thanks for those who mentioned me. :) I love it when we get a bit of banter going.

I agree with everyone's lists and am holding a Martine McCutcheon shaped candle aloft in memory of the fabulous Beaconboof. :D

Song threads are among my favourites. People are so creative LOL. Also long running gags being mentioned like "If only he'd worn slip on shoes etc"

I loved our riffing on Total Eclipse of the Heart. You made me laugh out loud. :D
