I don't but everyone is using it at me in another thread. please spill? I have an idea from the context its being used in and I have to say I don't agree re the poster aboves use of it or the use in the other thread
Canon, meaning it's not parallel with the actual show. Don't patronize me.
I have been googling and have yet to find a definition that explains it as that I get what you are saying firegazer but its not quite where you are at in your explanation it is parallel as in parallel universe
I think but then I have found so many different answers and it relates mostly to sci fi and anime both of which I have no interest in
In fiction, canon is the material accepted as part of the story in an individual fictional universe. It is often contrasted with, or used as the basis for, works of fan fiction. The term "canon" can be used either as a noun, referring to "the original work from which the fan fiction author borrows,"[1] or as an adjective to describe whether or not certain elements are accepted as authoritative parts of the fictional universe.[2] Fan-fiction would be described as "non-canon," or "fanon," while an event from the official source material would be "canon." The alternative terms mythology and continuity are often used, with the former being especially to refer to a richly detailed fictional canon requiring a large degree of suspension of disbelief (e.g. an entire imaginary world and history).
I am going to add canon to my list of misused words on this forum along with deadwood.
How could they give clues to 'who killed Lucy' when the actors don't know yet
The actors never knew it was Stacey that killed Archie until the day of the live episode. Even the they'd foreshadowed it by havingStacey as on eof the first faces to be seen in the Archie trailer..
