I thought it was really nice the way that they had the fireworks played over the credits it was a really nice effect, rather than just cutting onto the same old credits. What did ye think ?

I think Corrie is trying to fob viewers off with shiny-shinys.

I adored tonight's Corrie, especially the end.

It was feel good telly ... for me anyway :D

Lovely paper mache moon at the end there. No expense spared.

I always think it's nice when the soaps do something a bit different for the credits, it just seems a waste of time when ITV are going to constantly play adverts over them though.

The firework effects were surprisingly good but the fake moon was a bit OTT, it's not even a full moon tonight.

It's nice when they do things like this although I wish that just once STV didn't squeeze the credits into a small corner and then talk over them!

It was a nice touch - until ITV blotted it out for most of the ending with a preview of Julie Walter's programme NEXT (as if we didn't already know by now!). Maybe we'll see the full-effect on the weekend omnibus? They play the longer theme tune then as well!

I thought the fake fireworks were a bit naff. I remember thinking the same thing last year too.

It was sweet and also acted like a mirror to what Michelle was saying about the factory...happy against sad

Yes, for the most part HD viewers are treated with more respect (so far !!) by both the BBC and ITV1 with fewer shrunken/talked over credits.

It was nice of them to try and do something a little bit different for a change but to be honest I thought that the effects were a little bit cheesy. Why they could not have just let off some real fireworks instead I do not know.

Shame on ITV1 SD and STV for using ECPs over non-standard credits.

They've done fake fireworks the past few years too, they've steadily improved lmao, I loved the credits.

    Anyone remember these Corrie credits?

So glad ITV1 ditched that generic look
