I would certainly agree with that yes, that was the beginning of the end for Tony Blair.

Sadly it was. Tony Blair is the best we have had, up until the Iraq business.

How is the way they want to make society better ''negative, depressing, uninspiring and de-moralising''. How is May's aims to make police accountable through electing comissioners or regular beat meetings ''depressing''. How is Gove wanting to promote foriegn lanuage ''depressing''. How is IDS wanting to help people into work and setting up an enterprise allowance ''de-moralising''. Osbornse, while I'm certaintly not fan wants to cut the deficit - how is this the above description.

I believe Gove said before school. Also, I've seen other schools discipline kids after school.

    Reminds me of Labour.

I will jot down all the negatives and dodgy slogans Cameron users. I will keep a tally and report back.

I agree to an extent, if it wasn't for Iraq and his chumming with the US at the time, I think he would still be in office!

He really would have been. He would have had a fourth term.

    "Epic Fail."

That's teenagers speak tho. I thought you were now officially an adult. I like to use #threadfail, or #postfail - not quite such a teeny-bopper-like statement. :D

Loved the speech, particularly when he nailed that this country was made selfish by labour.

What a load of rubbish from a condescending, patronising and self congratulatory tory leader.

His idea of public services is not to pay qualified specialists, but to rely on volunteers. He wants public services on the cheap. He wants to abdicate responsibility so that when things go wrong, the government can't be blamed.

When does he think working people are going to do all this? He is in fantasy land.

We also had a nice dose of negativity and de-moralising language which the tories are good at. I noted some down, but ran out of paper. We had "harm", "cut", "axed", "dropped", "abolished", "smashed", "catastrophic", "wrong", "mess", "disaster", "slash", "cut", "worse", "waste" and "violent crime"...to name but a few.

Oh and we had the old favourites...

    Big Society - 9 times
    National Interest - 6 times
    Your Country Needs U - 2 times
Do The Right Thing - 1
    We're All In This Together - 1

Please stop saying them. They don't work and I don't believe you when you say them.

Jog on tories...you are the same old, same old...just presented with different faces.

Ironically checks resulting from Child Protection legislation applying to volunteers who helped out in sports clubs, youth organisations etc led to a massive drop in those willing to do it and that network for support for children fell apart.

Who's going to volunteer for anything if you're given the third degree and have to reveal all your personal details to some jobsworth to judge you?

Burley just mouthed something quite vitriolically to someone off camera whilst she was interviewing Warsi, obviously not realising she was in shot.

Wow, she made a right hash of this interview with "Harry".

She seemed to have a crib sheet and still mixed up all the facts.

    She's on Twitter: http://twitter.com/BBCLauraK

I'm sure she's be too professional to say who she votes for.

I don't care about slogans I care about analytical writings about the overall message Cameron was promoting. Any old person can take set of words and put them out of context or delibaretly misinterpret them to promote their own agenda.

And Jwsift, I'm 19 which still counts me as a teenager:p

    this is true.

theresa may's proposals to make police commissionaires more accountable is another good bit of policy. in the recent past i had to deal with the police. if no one has been murdered they won't attend a residential property. policing has become a joke.

Interesting. I think Labour supporters are injected with the naivety gene that attracts them to stupid wooly minded thinking divorced from the real world.

Way to prove the posts you're referring to wrong, genious.

An absolutely terrible and ridiculous speech by Cameron today. It was full of waffle, full of terrible jokes and worst of all, full of complete lies. Just illustrated how clueless the conservative party really really is. The ideological agenda is really vacuous.

It really is the same old conservative party.

Cameron's speech brought to an end a tory conference that was chaotic, shambolic and confused.

Absolutely agree with you 100%. He will never be as good as Tony. 'Call Me Dave' is a poor imitation.

P.S. I do not want to hear any more "big society" rubbish, "we're all in this together" bilge and all this "in the national interest" tripe.
