Btw, in regards to the Greg discussion. I don't understand why he seems to get some flak. Sure he's opinionated but every time he's been interviewed, he always comes across well. Especially yesterday, it was a lovely interview by him.

Is Shelly ann fraser pryce running in the 200m?
    She isn't.

Men's 5,000m heats underway...someone (Banda of Malawi) has already gone off the front. No doubt he'll have a few minutes of fame before he's swallowed up and spat out the back.

Yes, but why? Surely he should everything he can to qualify? Which he won't by going out so soon and quickly.

Maybe he's just there to experience WCh racing. Apparently he's not one of the higher-ranked racers.

No entry time, basically no hope, so he might as well get Malawi on global telly for a couple of laps.

Well done Farrell - through to the 5,000m final.

Gebrhiwet wins the first heat in 13:45.00; fellow auto-qualifiers are True, Soi, Farrell and Merga.

Good job from Farrell tbh I wasn't sure he'd have it in him to make the final, showed me :p.

Hitchon threw 71.07m in the women's hammer - not far off the auto-qualification mark of 72.50m. Might be enough for the final (Wlodarczyk and Tavernier already through).

Bit of an awkward overlapping in that race...

Blimey, Mo almost tripped again! He qualifies, anyway.

So twitchy! They're all gunning for Mo, because they know there's no other way to beat him.

It's quite amazing he managed to stay on his feet in the first place.

    Women's 800m heats underway.

Pretty quick first heat...Arzamazova and Sharp both sub 1:59. Semenya pips Lupu for 3rd.

Mo was as cheerful as he has been for some time in that interview with Phil... I do think he looks around too much in races. I often think its for affect mostly. Trying to look cool and relaxed.. it really isnt necessary to look round as much as he does

    Lynsey Sharp through.:)

Lynsey through safely. Semenya suddenly remembering what she had to do in the last 50m.

Taylor through to triple jump final with 17.28m.

Pichardo fouls in round 2, pretty big jump at that (no need now).

Fell asleep on the sofa and missed all the 5000m heats

Very relaxed looking run by Sharp.

Yes, I am sure he would have far more success on the track if he took your advice......;-)
