RAMP'd and its +2 counterpart have launched onto the EPG today at 387 and 388 , i take it these channels are the placeholders for Heart and Capital TV.

Programmes start at 1:00am and for its +2 at 3:00am , what odd times to put them on lol :D

The key word is 'Placeholders', so do not expect programming on them during the day!!!

Almost definitely. The two Ramp'd channels are licenced to Global, the owners of Heart and Capital.

Only spotted these last night, after the Olympic opening ceremony.

Seem to be documentaries about certain artists, as opposed to pure music and only on for 3 hours a night.

Good to see them preparing though.

I quite like the name could make a decent rock music channel.

Interestingly the video selection is about as good as GHTV offers so it's not a bad placeholder when teleshopping is on.

I tuned in the other night but it was a blank screen. Have to check out the picture quality to see if it's better than CSC.

These channels will be a more direct competitor to Bauer/C4 than Chart Show TV. CSC is too magazine/gossip style like the Old Chart Show idea. I think the radio branding will really give these channels a big boost.

They really need XFM TV and a few others to complete the line up. Can definitely see weaker channels like Bliss, Smash Hits, Heat TV all taking a ratings drop when they launch. Hopefully by that point we might see some variety back as they can't all show the same. Also I hope Global bring Classic FM TV back.

In a few years the line up could be:

Capital TV (Flagsghip channel playing chart music pop and R&B)
Heart TV (Contemporary music, mellow, 80's and pop)
XFM TV (A mix of Rock/alternative like MTV Rocks)
    Classic FM TV (Classical music)
Chill TV (Dance/trance/Ibiza and late night chill music)
Gold Radio TV (50's, 70's, 80's only music)

I would love to see somebody like Absolute radio join Sky too.

I've not been up to look at it.

I'm sure Heart won't be poor picture quality though.
