I doubt being American will harm her here. We've already got an Irishman and had an Australian for several years as well. Plus, Nicole was very popular when she was a guest judge last year.
Shes been working in Europe a lot over the last few years. I presume she lives here part of the year at least. Therefore she'll hopefully be quite versed in British culture.
Michelle Williams from SCD hasnt lived in the UK (to my knowledge) prior to doing SCD & was (by far) the least known person from destinys Child.
She's lived in the UK since 2008, London is her base.
Dannii really struggled to connect with the audience because she was Australian, didn't she.
All this talk of "not connecting" from certain posters makes me think if they are just using her nationality as a thin veil for another issue?
I doubt her nationality will be much of an issue.
Just because they were in the same group does not mean they have the same personalities.
I've seen Kelly in interviews and shes less in your face and quite humorous.
I dont think that Kelly will connect either. I dont think that she has much charisma myself!
You may be right about that, I just don't think that her nationality is going to work against her that much.
A lot's going to depend on chemistry between the judges.
I personally don't know who she is, cos I'm too young and I'm in X Factors main target audience group. I remember Destiny's child vaguely from when I was younger though. I don't want her on the panel, there are other people I'd prefer but it doesn't bother me that much that she's on but I'm gonna say the same as I've said about all of the new line up. GIVE THEM A CHANCE.

on a more negative note, i had an email from popnitch predicting that cheryl`s best bet for someone dropping out would be kelly. although the only evidence they had to back it up was pretty poor.
apparently she turned up to a launch party. she got out of her car to get paped at the front door arriving. walked right through the building. then got back into the same car around the back-door!

Yes, I dont think that it will be to do with her nationality either, as it wont even come into it, we are not like that here in the UK. I think also, that it will be because there will be a lack of chemistry between the new judges if the likes of Gary, Louis, Tulisa and Kelly are on the panel.
I really do not see them jelling like the panel has in the past!

Thanks. Yeah i prefer that remix, brits are starting to have a impact over there, especially Tinie Tempah at the moment, a lot different from a few years ago when the UK charts were dominated by US artists, theres still a lot in there but UK acts are becoming a lot more successful!
