Yes, that was a nice dance and Jessi was a hip hop dancer so she was completely out of her element. She now teaches hip hop at the same school that Artem teaches in LA called LA magic. She developed a little crush on Pasha which made it kind of uncomfortable but I think she got caught up in how romantic and attentive he was to her while they were training and dancing. The way Pasha led Jessi and looked at her while he was waltzing with her was quite sweet - like she was the most beautiful woman in the room and well when you waltz with a man you need to feel that way right?

I think it would be nice for Chelsee to have that experience to show her in a lovely ball gown first off. But I will take a cha cha if that is what the producers want.

Oh I didn't know all that, I think I read something about her having a crush on him but I didn't know the season well enough. I was surprised at how well she managed the dance though and don't really blame her for the crush but it seems to me whoever Pasha dances with he manages to make them feel totally comfortable and he has chemistry with everyone. At least with how strictly is now we will get to see them do 1 ballroom and 1 latin so even if they don't get the waltz they would get the foxtrot (I think it's that) which would be equally as nice to see.

Yes, that is one of Pasha's best qualities as a partner. He works on chemistry with everyone he dances with. She does not have to smoking hot for him to bring it. He taps into what is special about each girl and brings it out in her IMO.

One of my favorite topics to gush about. Pasha's partnering skills, Mary said it and I could not say it better myself he is the Master of Partnering. Be it Anya, Jessi, Lauren, Sabra, Melanie....a mop. He always manages to find that thing that is so very special and bring it out. Lili is right he can find something so special in each partner and he shows it off and sucks you in. He has said more than once that showing the girl off makes the guy looks good. and he does it so so well.

Yes Jessi did develop a crush (not sure anyone can blame her) and it did get a little uncomfortable, but he even handled that well by the accounts I have heard.

I am so looking forward to what he pulls out with Chels no matter what it is I think it will be good. I would really like to see that very first one be a Standard though I am sure everyone is expecting a skimpy number and to have it first be that classy upscale Standard *thumbs up* I would take anything..though least with a Latin number can watch the illegal hip action. did I say that outloud?

According to Chelsee's twitter she is not feeling well. I wonder if she will be okay to train on Monday. Seems like she missed one day last week due to her schedule.

You just never know - schedules, illnesses, things happen.

    I hope she feels better.

I love that whenever he is dancing you can tell he just loves it. I'm still making my way through his season of sytycd and loved the west coast swing he did, never seen/heard of that style much but it was enjoyable. I do like his partnership with Sara more than Jessi I think I just like her more as a dancer. Still itching to see previews of his rehearsals with Chelsee not just to see how good they are but to see how they get on

Pasha definitely has abandon when he dances. Some don't like that style and would prefer that a pro keep their face straight or even glum looking but that is not Pasha's style. He emotes and in my opinion is trying to tell a story with his face as well as the dancing. I don't ever see him pulling faces just to make faces but more that he is performing.

There are so many moments I can think of where his face tells the story. When he is dancing the waltz with Jessi the way he looks at her when her cradles her head, the look away and then pulling Lacey into him when he is waltzing with her, the intense eye contact when he tangos with Lauren and the way he brushes his lips up against her arm. When he does the Sidestep cha cha with Anya and he kisses her cheek stroking her face. All little looks and touches that help to tell the story. Those are just a few.

It will be interesting to see how he and Chelsee are getting on in the training room and the type of chemistry they have.

I agree and I agree. You can tell no matter what dance he does that he loves the dance. He does not pull a face just to pull a face his facial looks tell the story.

Honestly i LOVED his facial expressions in his intro dance they have jumped up to my favs list. I know some have accused it of being camp or gurning what not. But to me that dance was about the JOY of dancing and you could SEE that. He was just so happy to be dancing. he was not pulling a face to pull a face.

Like Lili I love when he pulls lacey in. I love the gentle kiss of cheek with Anya..and the arm with Lauren make me melt. My heart breaks when the dance with Melanie closes from season 8 the look on his face when he falls to his knees...wrenches me everytime. But that is what it is supposed to do. The way he draws Caitlyn in for the drop it low samba rolls the careful way he draws her into it there is a joyful sensualness on his face....I could go on.

That is what I love about him too. I thought oh no I hope they don't try to kill his spirit so he can fit in with other Strictly dancers who don't show that kind of emotion. There is room for different approaches to dancing. To me it makes it more interesting that pros have different styles. Pasha's style, some will love it and some won't. Hopefully the people who do love his ability to bring emotion to his dances will appreciate that.

I have a friend who does not like ballroom, she says it is boring to her. She watches sytycd for the contemporary but she said when she saw Lauren and Pasha do that AT on the finale she was mesmerised. She said it was like a short movie because it was so intense and he was so sensual with her but had a certain amount of reserve at the same time. If he just went through the motions and danced it technically well but did not have the little nuances, the touches, the eye contact, the looks that he gave her it just would not have been the same dance.

I have seen dancers who make faces but you don't feel the passion, with Pasha you feel it in my opinion.

:D Thank you for posting. I have been looking forward to hearing and seeing how these two are getting on.

Pasha has been quoted as having patience and that certainly came across in this vid. I hope they come out and surprise everyone. Be wishing them well!! :)

Didn't really know anything about Pasha before the show, but he seems really lovely in the training video and I was impressed with his pro dance.

Looking forward to seeing him. :)

I'm really glad they look good in the training video! Chelsee should be more confident though because she obviously has natural ability. Pasha seems to be an amazing teacher really think they could do well!

Poor Pasha is not feeling great and is 'under the weather'. I see from twitter that Katya is trying to encourage him to tweet more. The late rehearsals seem to be taking their toll on both Pasha and Chelsee. You can see from the training video that Pasha is red eyed. I wish him a speedy recovery!

Thanks for the YT video. I appreciate it.

I am thrilled they are doing a waltz.

Chelsee had been tweeting that she had not been feeling confident for a while but now her tweets are more positive. She is saying it it is hard work but worth it. Hopefully she will get the dance better by Saturday night. Fingers crossed.

They are not starting rehearsals until 8:00 o'clock at night sometimes. She seems to have a full schedule. That has to be tough but you do what you have to do and that is the only time she has so be it. Pasha looks tired too, unshaven and all. I hope he is feeling better. He tweeted he is doing rehearsal tonight even though he does not feel well. It would be nice to have him tweet more. :).

I just hope Chelsee can keep this pace because is so hard when the celebs have a full time job in addition to practicing. She hasn't complained about being tired in rehearsal in her twitters which is a good thing.

I love the training video. :D I am very much in love with the fact that I got my wish and they are doing a waltz. I really do think some will be nicely surprised come "game" day. *claps*

Pasha does look a little tired poor guy I want to bring him some chicken soup. I think some rest for both of them and they will me ship shape :)

What a nice way to start my Friday.
