Let's Do Lunch With Gino And Mel - innuendo

Is anyone else fed up of the constant, desperate, stream of innuendo from this show ?
Among lots of other examples today, Mel was talking about making a croquembouche (sp?) and said "Do I have to hold it until it goes stiff before letting go of it ?" Cue hysterical giggling from everyone.
Not a moment for childish word-play is allowed to escape.
I'm not a prude by any means, but sometimes it goes a bit OTT.

    You're not alone.

    Only 500,000 viewers yesterday, a 7.6% share.

Itv are suffering a downturn in audience generally
The innuendo has been par for the course for years in any show they've both been involved in
I'm no prude either ... Just bored with all of them

If they bought the testcard back they'd have better viewing figures ....😎

Christ, yeah it's rife in most tv now, and exactly how you've put it: You can tell it's about to be said, then everyone absolutely dies laughing at something a 9 year old would snigger about in a playground

Usually occurs everytime an old person is on tv, when they slowly stutter into saying something like ''ooh, it's a big one!''. Ughh, the ultimate of cheap tv

Although, she's the one half of the duo who hasn't been inside.

Call me old fashioned, but In my eyes, theft is different to domestic violence. Although sometimes a caution averts a trial.

She assaulted her husband and was arrested and cautioned for it

It does show the difference in attitude towards female-to-male domestic violence. Had it been a male presenter arrested and cautioned for assaulting his wife he'd have (rightly) been hauled off-air and given a very public dressing down.

Mel was done for common assault wasn't she?

It was the same when Mel did that daytime show with Des o'Connor. Des would come out with some lame innuendo that made no sense and Sykes would just piss herself laughing whilst the audience nearly died of laughter.

Nor me. Just the fact that either of them are in a show is enough to put me off, no matter what it's about.

It's no surprise Mel whatsername is always talking dirty, she's got zero class.

Very puzzled now as you all seem to know about it, but I can't find anything on Google, Bing or Yahoo about this. Anyone care to add a link?

    Mel Sykes! *Facepalm"

I don't watch daytime telly so I just assumed the "Mel" was Mel Giedroyc of "Light Lunch" and "Bake off".
Doesn't sound like I'm missing anything anyway.:)

If it was Gina done with assault he would have been sacked straight away.

How does that slimy grease ball Gino manage to appear regularly on TV? I don't know anyone who likes him. :(
