I have had the interview, which I think went well. I got on well with the guy, and hopefully should be called back for a second (shortlisted) interview next week.
so if you could all cross your fingers that would be great.

Good news - I have been chosen as one of the two for a second interview.
I am "hot favourite" (i have been told on good authority), so lets hope the other guy cant match up to me!
I am very chuffed, as I really want the job, and I really believe that I would do it well.
Also had to fill in an application for a job I applied for ages ago today as I have been shortlisted for that as well - really dont want it - its a developer role, just made me want this job even more.
Its on thursday morning, so again, fingers x'd, prayers, sacrifices would all be very appreciated.
- refrain from extracting wind from the nether regions. (read the pm I sent re ode to a fart as a timely reminder!)
- refrain from doing the same from the oral orifice too
- don't scratch your groin area.. or even worse, start rubbing:eek:
- don't pick your nose, teeth, toes (!)
- avoid your normal convivial greeting of 'morning you f*cking w*nker'
- if there's a woman on the panel (especially if she's under 60).. avoid looking at her bosom area or leering at her suggestively
I kid you not, with the exception of picking toes and no5 (thank goodness) I have experienced all of these in an interview situation.

Second interview went well. Wont hear anything till tomorrow at the earliest. More likely beginning of next week.
Its out of my hands now. I have done the best I think I could have done, just have to wait.

They have an internal candidate to interview on Tuesday, but they did say I got on brilliantly at the interview.
