One thing confuses me. If the police are outside PREPARING to make their move in the second ep, how can the first victim already be in hospital in the first ep? How do the paramedics get in if the police can't??

You're forgetting that this is the Emmerdale police we're talking about. They probably could get in if they wanted to, but they'd prefer to politely knock and ask if everyone's alright. :p

But seriously, that confused me too. Perhaps the first attack took place outside?

Cameron's prob let the person out just to try and restore a bit of order!

Good question - unless he shoots someone before he goes into the pub?

I just had a slight thought

Cameron presents two of his hostages with an impossible choice
The first victim of the siege fights for their life in hospital

Possibly that he'll let the injured person go in exchange for something

I assume the two hostages are Debbie and Chas? If this is the case, then I think Chas will be the first victim in hospital and Debbie will stay with Cameron until the end.

Your the kind of viewer whose ruining tv.

Impatient and wanting every storyline over within a Few weeks

Story lines aren't allowed to breath anymore without being accused of dragging on.

This storyline has been the perfect length

It has only been going on a year. In fact the week of the siege it will be exactly a year since Carl was killed.

Exactly! People are all too eager to eat the entire plot within a few weeks/months when it's proven the slow burners have the best pay offs.

Viewers are insatiable in their appetite to have the beginning middle and end of a storyline in quick succession and then onto the next. But then they're the first to complain when storylinea become increasingly sensationalist and OTT

The murder spree started one year ago but the Cameron Debbie nonsense has been going on for much longer than that.

The storyline should have ended when Brenda found the voice recorder. But instead of that they decided to have more unnecessary twists and turns with ended up which a siege. There was no aftermath, the villagers barely reacted to what happened while Debbie got off scot free and the Dingles are not fussed about her role in the death of family member. Then one month later we have another siege plus a storm this time. What's next? A siege, a storm, an earthquake and an attack of the mutant spiders.

Cameron as been shown at certain times to have a human side to him.....so if the victim was someone he truly cared for I can imagine him to let that person be taken out so he/she could get medical help...

Oh that could be it. He shoots Chas but Debbie pleads with him to let her go so they can take her to hospital. He agrees to let Chas go if Debbie goes/stays with him.

So how does this fit in with the rumoured bit with Cameron and Debbie in a car? Or is that JUST rumours? I suppose the spoilers have to be vague though...

Also wondering how big this storm will actually be as apart from reference to flood waters in the cellar, there is not a singular mention...odd for something being billed as huge?

It could just be that the main storyline is the siege that just happens to be set during a spell of bad weather, rather than creating stories in its own right. I hope I'm wrong though and those spoilers are just leaving a lot out!
