But, taken in the context of the X Factor for me, that was the same as last week and the week before, in fact was it even a different song?

I thought she was supposed to be doing a ballad. I'd like to see her do that because I actually think, if you take all the bells and whistles away, there's not much of a voice there.

Having said that, plus side - she knows which market she is aiming for and I can actually see her having some success there - after all some of the biggest artists don't have the best of vocals.

I find the fact she clearly needs some sort of performance going on in the background really irritating. She had the same last week. I suspect it's to distract from the shouty singing but I aren't buying it. Very much a one-trick pony, and Simon it's not confidence it's smugness.
