Despite the downhill turn,a sad day.:(
Hope Viva's rebrand will result in a change, back to music.
I dont think we can expect much from viacom they said over on the VIVA.tv website that the new VIVA will be the best of all Comedy Central , Nick , MTV and with new music shows they even getting Friends (TV Show) on VIVA no doubt that will be dubbed in german .
Im hoping they will keep Club Rotation Dance Charts though as that can turn out pretty good some weeks.
Yes I seen the new graphics for the American brain washing propaganda channel oops I mean the 'NEU' VIVA Germany. Whats German about this channel apart from the ringtone ads?
VIVA Polska has been pretty good recently it be such a shame to loose those amazing graphics. I'm supprised a London based MTV system can handle such detailed graphics that VIVA Polska uses.
Even if the worst does happen for VIVA Polska. Camden town cant stop Eska TV and 4Fun playing dance or begin americanization.
As for VIVA Hungary well it looks nice but its just MTV Hits UK with very very little Hungarian music.
Does that mean that there is no MTV branded channel left in Austria?
Oh yes, there is! It's MTV Germany, officially available on cable and satellite (Sky).
MTV Austria was no real channel at all. It was just a slightly different feed of MTV Germany, an excuse to host sponsors for the Austria market.
Now that MTV Germany/Austria has no adverts, there's no reason for having two separate feeds anymore.

Interestingly, MTV Schweiz is taking the new schedule however is missing certain shows as it still contains commercials and is still FTA (and still has more music)

On which satellite is it? Cannot find it the listings neither in my tuner or online.
Does it even broadcast i know its always been a cable only channel.
VIVA CH sure still does exist. Yep, it's cable only in .ch. It timeshares with Nick CH from 20:15 and currently has the old graphics (grey viva logo, its never had the coloured one so its from 2006ish) and it's schedule is music clips from 20:15 till 5am however all have SMS quizes and often AstroTV mindreading comes on there during that time.
If anyone wants pictures then just ask and I'll get you some
Yes no more Club Rotation on VIVA DE but over the last year club rotation has got quite poor. Just with UK only dance. It use to have alot of Amarda Records and Dutch clips.
Yes I been taping VIVA Polska alot recently , some good top 100 shows plus nightrider has some classic gems
MTV Germany is meant to have a Dance Floor Chart.
Yes some pictures would be nice ( if its not too much trouble! ) those 2006 graphics was very nice

Last video on old VIVA 'Scooter- Maria (I Like It Loud)'
The new VIVA graphics are horrid the new logo is now on the top left corner and the song titles are just as bad.

Viva Polska remains untouched (for now)
Must please MTV Unlimited cardholders no end(!) I guess that's why Brand Neu is on the way in February.
Viva's graphics are pretty rubbish IMO.

Ah,Thanks,Alex.
So MTV lives on in Austria.
I see. Sounds quite plausible for me...

Bad choice of wording on my part. I was referring to the stream used by MTV Austria on the transponder changing to Viva Austria.
I just looked on Viva Germany website i confirm that there is no more Club Rotation
