Looks like there are some power cuts going on in certain parts of East and West London as well as just outside London. Anyone in North London affected?

I doubt the people affected would be able to respond

You would expect there to be a web page detailing all areas that are experiencing problems.

Anyone with a laptop and mobile broadband or a phone that they can access Digital Spy on could say, mobile phone towers usually have UPS I think.

Also of course people may talk to friends and family on the landline and they could post here.

A power cut on Twitter? Does it have its own supply?

I will be surprised of any power cuts this month but the winter could well see them if we have a long snow spell. (looks unlikley) the other thing that would cause them is high winds above gale or storm force this is much more likely to happen west coast ,wales and the south coastal areas.

I remember there used to be quite a few powercuts in Enfield when I grew up there in the 90s/ early 00's. Not so common nowadays though, I guess. C

Can only think of one powercut we've had since I've been up North. Was funny because it was on Halloween night, and all of the kids were too scared to go out.

Maybe the Paralympics closing ceremony is draining everywhere else of power!

Maybe did not factor in folk recharging their electric scooters and wheelchairs while watching the ceremony.
