I get why 11 found it hard to talk to her in TNOTD but River was not the only person who died there.
Miss Evangalista,Anita, Dave and "proper" Dave all died too. CAL, Ella,Joshua and dr Moon need to be included as well.
4020 souls were released but 5 adults and 3 children were left trapped. Unless the power finally ran out.

    What happened to them? They're still there. And Dr. Moon, Ella and Joshua weren't people.

    I'd suggest that River escaped more often than not and they're quite content... Charlotte couldn't go anywhere... She's the computer... And as above the moon was a characterisation programme of a computer and the other kids were companion constructs... They never were real. What's interesting is that data ghosts contain any sort of personality enough to be such a faithful copy of the original.

    Oh, I think Miss Evangelista's copy probably kept her higher IQ as a kindnes from Charlotte.
