Do you feel like you have to explain yourself to strangers?

In the supermarket this morning, I was buying off cuts of the cooked meat. It's really cheap and handy for getting the dog's medication down him (wrapping the tablets up in meat!)

I felt I had to tell the lady serving that it was for the dog so she didn't think I would choose to eat random pieces of cooked beef, ham and chicken all thrown in together :blush:

(realistically I know she probably didn't give a damn)

    I often get strange looks when I am out and about picking dandelions

    What do you use them for ?

    Or do you have a pathological hatred of dandelions which leaves you unable to pass without killing them ?

    My pet tortoises favourite food.

    I do feel a bit silly when picking them though! People look at you weird and I feel like I should explain what I am doing.

    My friend up the lane has two goats, they like dandelions too.
    I pick them out of my grass and give them to the goats.
