Ben, will we ever get the same Red Button "in programme" functionality that the V+ has with regards to participating in "live" programmes? I really miss that.
That is down to the BBC

Current Connected Red Button FAQs are here http://www.bbc.co.uk/aboutthebbc/insidethebbc/whatwedo/redbutton_faq/

    and it says:

    9. Will all existing red button services be available on Connected Red Button?
No, some existing red button services won’t be available on Connected Red Button, for example some play along features and also some elements of digital text such as sports results and stock prices.

Yes it is crap, couldnt agree with you more. I'm glas I've still got a V+HD box. I guess an email to the BBC might be in order.

It won't be crap for long though, as I though the idea was that they were phasing all of that stuff out.

And in time there will be more stuff delivered via the new Connected Red Button thing.

You might like to read about Xenon ... a brand new embedded media player that was developed specifically for AS2 embedded devices such as Virgin’s TiVo, to be used by applications like iPlayer, News, Sport and any other such applications that the BBC develops in future.
