Mate, you are on showbiz gossip site/message board. if you don't like people speculating about celebs and their significant others, maybe you might just be on the wrong place, because that's basically what we do here. Speculate about famous people and their careers/partners etc.

So yeah, get off the high horse please. You seem much too classy for this joint:rolleyes:

    I'm not your mate.

It sounds as if you're the expert. Now pop off and annoy someone else - please. :D

As others have said, he has acknowledged that he became quicky big headed with his rise to fame from Gavin & Stacey and that he needed his feet be put firmly back on the ground. I admire his honesty and desire to want to change this part of him and it looks like he has. I think Rob Brydon had a serious few words with him about how he was behaving after a speech Corden made at an award ceremony.

The only person annoying anyone here is you. I'm not actually the first person on this thread you've picked a fight with, or insulted, am I.

Wasn't that when he wound up Patrick Stewart?

That's my point. If Corden was as talented as you think, then losing weight should make no difference to his career. He's an actor and comic personality....slimmer, attractive actors tend to have a wider range of roles offered to them. Corden specialises in playing chubby bufoons. His choice of parts would widen with weight loss, but his talent might not be seen as being significant enough to get roles that don't call for a fat clown.

i agree that Adele would not really be affected by a weight loss, as her primary tool (her voice), would probably remain the same.

Corden is talented but so are loads of other actors. All acting casting is mainly done on looks. If JC became very slim he would be ruled out of the 'big guy' parts where there is less competition. Then he would be in a pool of slim actors where there is more competition.

Having said this I don't think it would matter now because having a 'name' is more important and he will be offered work now because he is well known.

If anything Patrick Stewart wound up HIM. He gave him a very showbiz, pleasant introduction and then PS was horrible to him. PS just looked like a jealous, ignorant tool when he did it.

The award ceremony was the BAFTAs I think when Gavin & Stacey won some awards but bizarrely wasn't nominated in the best comedy category. Corden made reference to it in his acceptance speech and came off looking like an ungrateful dick in the process. Brydon was at the back of him, cringing, and had a word with him about it afterwards.

IIRC PC told him off for putting his hands in his pockets and looking like a disrespectful yob. Understandable in the circumstances.

Yes this was the incident that I meant in my post.

Yeah, he didn't come out of it well but I think he redeemed himself in the long run.

It would have been better to start a Corden-bashing thread without reference to the fact he has got married. I have no interest in his personal life and wish to discuss only his professional failures.

    Corden fails on several levels.

    1) Comic actor.
In his long-forgotten sketch show and in Gavin And Stacey, Corden fails miserably to display any acting skills at all and has no concept whatever of comic timing. He stumbles around like the most inept "supporting artist" who keeps turning up despite being utterly incompetent. His on-screen persona consists entirely of "fat bloke looking like he's forgotten what to say". He is like a stain on the TV screen that gets in the line of vision of the viewer.

    2) Writer.
Corden co-wrote Gavin And Stacey. Despite featuring some fine actors, the show was memorable for its woodenness. The wooden feel came directly from the anodyne script. Both the dialogue and the "plots" are pitifully amateurish.

    3) Presenter.
Dumb TV executives continue to employ Corden as a presenter, particularly on comedy and music awards shows. He fails on these shows because he has a boring voice, has no concept of humour, and is very slow-witted.

Corden is the unthinking man's comedian. Never, does he do or say anything that requires intellectual understanding above that of a chimpanzee. He induces catatonic states.

He is the opposite of wit.

I've found him a whole lot less irritating since watching A League Of Their Own and to be honest now wouldn't be happy if the host changed.

Before then, I found pretty much everything he did irritating.

Anyone would look good next to Andy Personality-Bypass Flintoff.

Did any of his Gav and Stacey co stars attend his wedding? I know he is meant to have had a falling out with Matt Horne but I did not see any of the others. Anyway, dude is apparently a terror behind the scenes. The happy go lucky cheerful chubby man shtick is a routine, an act. I know he addressed his arrogant attitude on Piers Morgan show but I just thought that it was him working an 'angle'. Here's hoping at least now he has truly turned a corner now he has his wife and baby.

It is still an act and he has not turned a corner. A nasty man, he has tried what he thought was a clever ruse - admit to being a huge c()ck in the past and everyone will forgive you. The problem is he is still a huge c()ck and his pathetic tone whenever he is lying and dissembling in no way covers this up.

Am I the only one who is laughing at the OP's complete lack of self awareness? Calling James Corden out (and I'm no fan BTW) on being obnoxious and disgusting is rather pot, kettle and black!

Ruth Jones was there. Matt Horne was also there - he twittered about it. Only sixty family and friends were at the actual wedding which is what was covered in the papers, I assume more friends were at the evening reception.

I laugh at how pathetic and repetitive he is.

    Three little words,

    Horne & Corden

proves exactly why your post is dead on the money.:D

Do you actually know James Corden in order to make these frankly, rather unpleasant statements?

You sound like a jealous ex. :D

Fair play to him, I'd lop off my left nut to swap places with him.
