Cheers Lisa!

I can't miss MelFets so looks like I'm going to have to be doing a lot of hopping.

Glad we have Malta going on late into the night so I can immerse myself in that.

What's the favourite in Hungary?

Once it gets into the public's control with the Final 4 it could really go any way tbh. I'd say it's between the 3 G's although Gina doesn't really have the public support behind her entry if she gets into the top 4.

Gabi, Gigi and Joci are the most consistent in terms of having both jury/public backing. Gabi is definitely the favourite with the non-Hungarian eurofans. But Soulwave have been saved twice by the public and AKS is the household name, so upset potential is there.

Personally rooting for Gabi's Horehronie meets 1944 tribute.

A very solid set of songs without any of them screaming "Winner!" although as long as it's not the cheesefest of "Sky Over Europe" that takes the prize I'll be happy enough.
I still can't get my head around the EBU agreeing to allow Lanberry to participate in Kyiv if she wins considering by how much her song breaches the date rule ( I know, they relaxed that ruling a few year's ago, but it does still seem to have an impact in some places, so why is it different for Poland?)

Another Top 10 finish ahoy?

It's weird how some broadcasters are. Romania and Moldova will quite happily throw applicants in and out of the process at will for the slightest infraction. Then there's us with our own cloak and dagger non-disclosure to dare even speak anyone's name in contention and then there's the shady crowd that plod along and hope nobody notices.

Hypocritical of me I know, but I'm glad Poland have decided they don't care about Lanberry. Although surely the EBU still might if she wins, I mean 6 million views is definitely a commercial release no matter how you spin it.

A Super Saturday to end all Super Saturdays. Sterling work as always Lisa.

It's been a while but don't we usually get at least snippets of FdC songs before they air or will that happen tomorrow?

Cheers Lisa - very comprehensive as always!

Word on the streets of Budapest is that it's between Joci and Gabi tomorrow night - I'm all for the rank outsider of Zavodi & Oliver, I just bloody love it!

And guess who got the shitty end of the blogging stick again this week? See you in either Kiev or Ljublijana - can't work out which is the lesser of the obvious evils ... But I think I'd rather watch a whole Trump press conference than to sit through a Ukrainian SF again

I can't remember, something tells me no. One of the Portuguese tweeters reckons we won't know the songs until the show itself. The stage for the Semis looks nice at least.

Surely you've earned yourself a trip to Iceland next week? Let's just pray they don't dump you with DMGP. There are worse things out there than watching Jamala slowly losing her mind on the Ukrainian panel.

We could always ask Keith Mills for a little preview of at least one of the FdC songs

Next weekend I'm fortunately otherwise engaged on Saturday, getting ready for a Beaver shot on Sunday

I'd forgotten about Keithy boys random collaboration!

Oh yeah, you're actually going to be in the land of the Beaver aren't you?

To be fair Germany went on just as late taking the time difference into account. And it can't be any worse...can it?
