I just thought it would be nice to remember and acknowledge his career.

I absolutely loved The Fisher King. Still watch it when I need cheering up. Hook comes a close second though. :)

I love The Birdcage - one of the funniest films I've ever seen! The Fisher King was an amazing film too, very underrated but with such an incredible performance from Robin. Aladdin was the film where he redefined what a voice artist could do in your average Disney film, I just can't leave that performance out, it's brilliantly done. Can't pick between these three really - but The Birdcage might just edge it, as it's one of my all-time favourite 'duvet day' films! Never fails to make me laugh.

My children & I love Mrs Doubtfire.

But to me, his outstanding performance comes from his film One Hour Photo. Mr Williams made his character Seymour Parrish both chilling & creepy, totally different from other roles which I've seen in his other films. It's on par with Anthony Perkins's Norman Bates of Alfred Hitchcock's 'Psycho'.

He was brilliant in Hook, fantastic in Aladdin (had to watch it so often with my eldest son), and though the film was regarded as a flop, he was incredible in Bicentennial Man.

    One Hour Photo.

As a kid I loved Hook and was obsessed with Aladdin. Any time I had to stay in hospital I always had that on VHS with me.

Way too hard to pick one so 'The World According to Garp' and 'The Birdcage'. I've seen both so many times and they never ever get old.

He touches all the important parts in both movies.

Good Morning Vietnam is my favourite.
I was going to do a top three with The Birdcage and The Fisher King... but then there's One Hour Photo, Jumanji, Hook, Dead Poets Society... I could go on. All great films for different reasons. There's nothing I've watched that I didn't like him in.

    It's a sad day today.

Back in 1987/88 I used to go to the cinema every Monday night as they always had a £2 night every Monday.

I remember seeing the trailer for Good Morning Vietnam week in, week out for what seemed like forever. When the movie finally came out we went two Monday's running so that gets my nomination.

However Good a Will Hunting, Dead Poets and Night At The Musuem are also great films.

A sad day but he's left us with so much to smile about.
