I'm in the bristol area and need to rehome a pretty chihuahua x poodle bitch because of ill health of her owner. I wish I could keep her myself but I cant - too many commitments.

Find a rehoming centre with a no kill policy (not RSPCA!!) Dogs Trust are good or some of the smaller rescues are brilliant.

Don't be tempted by free ads etc good rescues will home check and know how to choose the right people to match with the dog.

Try and give them as much information as you can and be brutally honest - much better they know the worst about the dog it will help them choose the right home.

    Hi,

I've rehomed a dog from Many Tears in Llanelli,
Carmarthenshire, South Wales who have a no kill policy. That's not too far from Bristol, about an hours drive when we did it.

They find homes pretty quickly for their dogs and they thoroughly vet those who apply. I'd have no hesitation in recommending them.

You could give them a call and have a chat.

Their number is on their contact me page.
