Attenbourough for all natural history type stuff, but Freeman does have a superb voice.

Attenbourough for Natural History, Freeman for Film and TV.

Freeman has done nature docs though. Didn't he do the penguin one?

Sir David, naturally. One of the few genuinely great people left in British broadcasting.

I never really liked DA's narration. He always seems to come across as all "breathy" as he speaks.

David Tennant seems to do quite a bit of narration these days and I like his voice.

Then again, there's always David Bellamy to consider too. He was terrific. :D

Bellamy is too left field for the BBC.

Alice Roberts is my younger favourite, Especially when wearing a wet suit. :)

Would like to hear Attenborough do Shawshank.

(Or to broaden the issue, Attenborough doing the voiceover for Goodfellas etc)

    Attenborough, of course.
And on the subject of narrators, I quite like John Hurt's narration.

    Which penguin one?

The latest one I saw was 'Penguins: Spy In The Huddle' (which I recorded) and that was narrated by David Tennant (Dr. Who) and he did a good job.

Overall, I'd go for DA, though MF has a very good voice and is one of my favourite actors.

Probably makes me anti-British or something, but really can't stand Attenborough's voice.

The correct answer is Brian Sewell.
