very good price so i'm ditching sky now after 16 years as the quality & value has gone way down.
Anyone else ordered from them?
kas
the 10% off was not taken off,so i emailed and they replied saying they will do it there(the shop?) before the order is processed.

Kas I had the same problem Saterday, rang them half hour after placeing order and was told that they had got my order ok. never had any other confirmation
Normally with this sort of things you will get a confirmation screen come up with the order no which you can print out and usually but not always an automated email confirmation.
Good service from Heathrow Systems too although they did ignore 2 e-mails enquiring about delivery so I don't know whether their after sales service is as good as their prices but hopefully won't need to find out.
Cheers Marc!!
He he, imagine a homeless person rummaging through the bins for food! What a find!
Very impressed with the £170 price, off to eBay to sell the 8000T to offset this even further!
Would be very interested to know if you think the new firmware version is an improvement or not although you probably didn't get time to use the 9200 much with the old version. I am hanging on to my old 8000T for the time being as it has worked faultlessly for 2 years now and I don't want to rely totally on the new toy until I am convinced it is as reliable as the 8000T proved to be. The only small gripe is the lack of chase play which the 8000 was able do so its a bit odd that Humax didn't include this on the 9200 but i think the ability to watch another channel or recording whilst recording makes up for this omission. I understand the new firmware does not solve this as yet.
The lockups on BBC channels started as soon as I plugged the 9200 in - I was very happy the cable arrived off eBay for me to do the upgrade today as it wouldn't have been so much an upgrade as a downgrade if I couldn't have fixed the lockups! Since installing the update it's working fine so a definite improvement. Hopefully the next update will get chase play working too.
I also tried the eLinker SW (hadn't tried it on my 9200 as no laptop!) and it worked fine - I followed the advice on another thread here and set the thread priority to 'above normal' which seemed to do the trick. My only issue was downloading the eLinker SW from the Humax site then finding it was v.1! - I think it depends on which setup file within that zip you use for the installation.

Yeah, imagine his surprise when he could rewind and eat it again!
