The main thing god based religions have to fear is not cartoons but education.
Education about how the solar system was formed, the earth came into being and how life evolved on this planet.
The last 70 years has seen a huge increase in the information gathered which illustrates how all these things happened.
None of it proves that there isn't a god, but it may make it easier to not believe that there is, and it is based on information which everyone can check.
Given that there is no proof whatsoever of the existence of a god, evidence should count for something.

In bollywood's defence, they usually post as if unable to follow the argument, including their own.
It's all quite bizarre, this clumsy attempt to show Charlie Hebdo as the powerful aggressor against the poor, downtrodden, disadvantaged Muslim in the street, who is only trying to get through the day while big bad Charlie is busy bullying them out of their faith.
The facts are that Charlie Hebdo is a scrappy little satirical magazine which no one is forced to buy or look at, the staff of which refused to be silenced by an aggressive and often violent ideology (which is what they took the piss out of), and several paid for that defiance with their lives.
Given these facts, concentrating one's criticisms on the cartoons is pretty disgraceful.

You can't force people to re-publish any more than you can force secular belief down people's throats.

You could theoretically provide a great deal of evidence for the non-existence of certain things, if you had sufficient resources and time. It is harder though for sure.

Neither you nor I know the exact reason for their circulation numbers. Funding for magazines is actually quite hard to get. I should imagine that those receiving death threats and being physically attacked don't strike investors as the easiest bit of cash they can make in print media.
The fact remains that they weren't some powerful elite beating up the downtrodden, as per your posts. They were a bunch of liberals with literally not much more than their pens and their wit. And now they're dead.
