I absolutely loved Calum's response to Ken's question about his inheritance.

Calum responded by saying that he didn't receive any inheritance, but is blessed with a lovely/loving name and a great legacy.

Seems like a really nice guy.

Are you sure? I thought George Best drank his wealth and it eventually killed him.

even at his level of drinking, booze doesn't cost that much.

£1.99 for 3 litres of white lightning cider at my local off-licence. That would keep him going for a good few hours

he died with plenty of money IMHO. maybe he decided not to leave it to Calum ^_^

    It was the perfect reaction.

For all the drama that has gone on, there are some very bright, calm and strong individuals in that house.

I actually applauded along with the housemates when Calum said that.

I've always thought anyway that Calum has never been vindictive towards his dad in any way shape or form. (hope not, anyway)

But has he made a career off his surname?

Calum seems really phoney to me like he presents a false front.

He made a career (as a model) from his good looks.

It certainly was a well-rehearsed reply.

That and a career out of going out and partying....that's it.

In George Best's day, footballers didn't earn the megabucks they do no. And anyway, wasn't George on record for saying 'spent a lot of money on booze, birds and fast cars. The rest I just squandered'. I don't think he was big on saving his money..

He made a lot of money modelling when he was younger. He didn't inherit any money from George Best. There's an interview here with him about money http://www.telegraph.co.uk/finance/personalfinance/fameandfortune/10339616/Calum-Best-After-my-dad-died-I-ate-beans-for-Christmas-dinner.html

I think deep down Callum does feel a bit guilty/awkward for living off his Dad's name.
I don't really blame him for it as such.

I just hope he slept with Lyndsey Lohan before she slept with Ian Watkins of the Lostprophets. Eww.

Perhaps because he's had to trot it out a lot to people who enquire about his finances?

    Definitely!!!

He knows he has a lot to lose so the mask is on.
Also, he's made a mint from being George Best's son. Otherwise he'd never have been given three hair implants or any tv work and no women would hanker after him.

    Well, yes.

And the best way forward is a charming and humble reply, rather than the tempting MYOB!

    He knows what he's doing.

Unless you take him by surprise and diss his trainers.

I think the trainer thing was because, like most 'celebrities', he's just not used to anyone taking the piss out of him and when they do he doesn't know how to react.

This totally! Despite the fact that his accent is probably genuine, even that seems fake!!

He probably didn't get an inheritance cos he spent it all while his father was alive! And he totally lived off his surname and whose son he was.....there's nothing spectacular or even memorable about Callum Best. I mean, just think about what he's known for; hardly anything to be proud of
