How many people will you be eating xmas dinner with?

I know a few people who talk of having 12-20 people for xmas dinner. :o I'm never sure how that works because it's not like they live in mansions or anything... How do people manage those sorts of numbers???

I'm cooking for 8 this year and that's more than enough!! We can just about fit 6 around the table so 2 people will have to eat with trays in the livingroom, which just seems wrong but what else can you do?

Whats the general view here about having xmas dinner on your knee in front of the tele?? I used to do it when I was a kid, I've got very fond memories of watching TOTPs with my Turkey and sprouts. :)

Me, my daughter and my brother and I'm not even sure if my bro is coming this year. Going to be a very quiet one - suits me though!

    6. Me, other half and 4 close friends.

Usually 8, but 2 regulars have joined the never ending exodus of my friends from London. At least I won't have to use the fold-out table to extend our dining table.

    I always do the cooking.

8, myself, 2 kids, mum, dad my brother his gf (maybe) my friend.

My small table can sit three at a push, and its a very small flat, so most will be on laps, or at my coffee table thing.

My mum has cooked 2 years worth, and she is not too well this month so my turn quite rightly, will be a squeeze, but good times to be had

It will be good, and lots of leftover turkey and drink in my flat, i miss that :) turkey sandwiches..yum.

    oink @ me!

Looking forward to it now even though i am a bit skint after getting kids presents.

Put the tree up tonight, bit of a shambles, 20 year old tree, donated 2 years ago by my parents as they took in my cat, they have a fibre optic now, mainly baubles lights and beads, the tinsel was getting threadbare. Main thing is kids love it. I might see about a fibre optic one for next year, might be lucky with janurary sales.

Yes we two are now going to be home alone also.
We will visit an elderly relative who is not fit enough to come out to play, but other than that is seems we are alone.
My kid who still lives with me is going to her boyfriends parents house for the Christmas meal.
