Is it me or are there a fast increase in facebook viral posts that normal people have posted on pages. All 3 I've seen so far have been complaints, one towards a train company (or station), the other day was Suzy's post about Ryanair & now I've just seen a complaint on This Morning..

Hmmm! I'm used to posts going viral but not on 'official' business pages :p

Yes they are on the increase and I really can't stand these things. I didn't think there could be anything more annoying on Facebook than people reposting "What True Friendship Is", 'funny' things about drinking, getting older or asking me to repost a sappy poem so a child can get a kidney.
I doubt they are even genuine.

I'm not referring to those ones glowbot, although they can be very annoying!!!

Have you seen the ryanair thread where someone posted a complaint on their fb page? There's also been other similar complaints to different official pages. Like this one..

"My father in law was due to appear on the show on Tuesday morning but producers have now decided that it may cause upset to children! With it being the school holidays, My father in law had to have his nose and part of his top lip removed 3 years ago due to nasal cancer, after a very hard 3 years of avoiding people and hiding behind closed doors, he now has a prosthetic nose and has undergone several operations which has given him confidence to be able share his story to support others. The decision of the producers has upset me as its knocked his new confidence as they want him to still hide as it could upset children!!! children should have the opportunity to see and hear real life stories as it gives them a better understanding of facial disfigurements and disabilities and in today's society maybe by father in law wouldn't be subjected to the cruel jibes and taunts of some that he has suffered. To be fair children usually ask him what has he done to his nose and are generally inquisitive so I don't see why the producers feel this way. Every person is unique whatever their lifestyle or background and people need to open their eyes to this, he has shown great strength and courage throughout the last 3 years and by the producers decision to me this is as bad as the cruel jibes and proved the ignorance of this world."

Oh sorry I didn't understand what you meant!
Yes I have seen those too. That one's a weird one, I doubt the producers would have told him that he would scare children to his face. This is a program that had testicle checking on live morning TV.

I saw one earlier today about a complaint about RBS.

These types of things always have thousands of likes and comments, I wonder how they get around?

There's also the ones that keep cropping up complaining about the Dead Baby Jokes page.
I'd never even heard of the page until everyone started to complain about it! If you find pages offensive, why go on them and create a post telling them how much it upsets you? Clearly, this just fuels the fire.

I saw the RBS one, well I saw it on here. I'm wondering how all these posts are suddenly going so viral & they're always complaints. Seems strange when you know all these pages will have had complaints many a time I'm sure but never go viral over it.

I've seen the baby jokes page, it's been around for many years. I love how everyone keeps going on there complaining about it. Just encourages them to do it and why the sudden viral interest?!

It really beggars belief why people feed these trolls.
If everyone ignored the fact that they exist then they would get no pleasure in it and it would soon stop.
But people keep playing right into their hands by opting to go on the page and tell them how upset they are

There's a new one doing the rounds on the Odeon FB page, somebody complaining about their prices and level of customer service. To be fair, it's pretty bang on the money.

I was just about to post this
    Dear Odeon,
I went out last night with friends to see Ted. I'd not been to the cinema for a long time so I thought I'd treat myself and the fiancé to a film.
Firstly, £21 for 2 tickets and a medium 7UP! I don't know who you expect to get into your cinemas but they must have more money than sense as this is ludicrous. I could go onto Play or Amazon and buy myself about 12 DVD's for that price!

Secondly, the place was dead. I can only attribute this to your insane ticket prices. There were more staff than paying customers. "You'll have been served quickly then" you may ask. Well, no. There were 4 staff behind the counter, 2 of whom I can only assume we're there to play with a cloth and talk about pointless crap with their teenage colleagues whilst watching 4 people becoming more and more irate in the queue. Even more annoying was, despite the plethora of school-drop-out 'staff' that were milling about trying to look busy and achieving the square root of nothing, no-one came into our screen so we had to pull the doors shut ourselves. Trivial you may think but, hey, I shelled out £20 for the 'cinema experience' so I expect to actually get it.

Thirdly, I think it's ever so nice of Odeon to give their cinema goers 2 movies for the price of one because, whenever there was a part in Ted that has little or no dialogue, we were all treated to the wall shaking sound of Batman being played in the next screen but, come on, why not charge half as much and we could SEE both rather than watching one and hearing two.

Your little advert about piracy killing film was the final straw though. Between us in the group we paid you over £45 so four of us could get the 'cinema experience.' Considering the way the country is don't you think this is excessive? Especially when I could go out, by a DVD, buy a lot of 7UP, buy everyone food and have change for the same price, AND I could watch the DVD over and over to my hearts content. I know that I wouldn't get the whole 'experience' but I'm sure I could pay a spotty teenager to ignore me and leave my lounge door open so I at least feel little like I'm in an Odeon.

If you want to see more people in your cinemas and actually put a dent in film piracy you should really try and cut your prices, hire decent staff and forget the 600% profit margins on your food and drink.

You are putting plenty of nails into the cinema coffin Odeon. I won't be back in a hurry.

Same here, as far as I can see it's only uses are trolling strangers and winding up people from your past.

I have had a right tit full of the child with cancer, generic hero soldier type thing, complaints about benefits and other complaints and the hideous '1 like equals 1 prayer'. I don't want to have to read that tripe or see the hideous pictures every time I log on.

There's always somebody posting "Thank you Tesco" or "Thank you Amazon" on my timeline. They never seem to learn the old saying "If it's too good to be true, it is!".

FB would be okay if the users were not under a delusion of significance brought about through its own self importance.

There are better uses, like keeping in contact with families and friends, especially if they don't live in the UK & therefore less easy to contact cheaply/free.

Those are really starting to do my nut in, I've stopped liking it. It doesn't do anything other than put it on your newsfeed. If anyone is gullible to think that facebook will donate money for every like, then I'm seriously worried for them.

That seems like a scam that's been rearing its ugly head again...

There's a couple of people I know who constantly post viral shite, they even post pics and subscribe to pages that mock and protest against the viral shite. They're either click happy or retarded...

I can't complain about Facebook when thanks to it, I've won a laptop, vouchers and cash (legitimately - I enter competitions as a hobby).

That's because it is a scam. They make money tricking people into completing surveys but can also use these scams to lure people into getting viruses, worms and trojans on their computer or other nasty things.

If someone posts a viral post/scam/hoax and I see it in the timeline, I warn the person not to post it on my timeline and automatically block the feed of the user. If they do it a second time then I delete them. Simples.
