They are able to play Boxing Day and then Sunday Dec 28th in PL
I guess the ones who have agreed will be the ones who play the reserves in the Cup ??
They are not "able" to, they "have" to. When the option is here to move a match to Sunday, why on earth would you not put it back a day?
Isnt it a blank midweek for the clubs after the FA Cup weekend? Or is it the Carling Cup semis that week? In which case, maybe this is the reason for Newcastle not doing it. Dunno why West Brom and Swansea havent, though.
Scunthorpe will play MK Dons or Chesterfield. They beat Worcester City 14-13 on penalties (yes, really, 32 penalties taken, both keepers scored theirs).
The replayed Milton Keynes tie will be now played on Friday Jan 2nd
And the 3rd Round tie will be played ????
This is no different to a match being called off due to the weather, which happens every season. Imagine this thread running in 1963 when Bradford vs Newcastle in the third round was played on 7th March because of relentless bad weather.
Leicester know they will get a lot more Geordies visiting on a Saturday
Yes, it is far more convenient for fans which is presumably one of the reasons Leicester have opted to play on the Saturday. Maybe too they've scheduled a training camp for the midweek and would rather play two games in quick succession then have a full week to prepare for the next one rather than spread them out. Could be any reason.

Pretty fed up I decided to watch the Liverpool game followed by the Comedy Awards, both of which I watch out of a sense of obligation because I haven't enjoyed either for ages, then found out this had happened.
Time: 11:00 to 12:00 (1 hour long).
When: Saturday 3rd January on BBC 2 HD
Guy Mowbray presents highlights of classic FA Cup third-round encounters of yesteryear. Hereford United's famous encounter with Newcastle United in 1972, Bradford City's clash with Tottenham Hotspur in 1989 and Shrewsbury Town's meeting with Everton from 2003 are this episode's featured matches.
Time: 09:00 to 10:00 (1 hour long).
When: Sunday 4th January on BBC 2 HD
Guy Mowbray presents highlights of memorable FA Cup third-round matches of years gone by. Wrexham's meeting with Arsenal at the Racecourse Ground in 1992, Coventry City's trip to non-league Sutton United in 1989 and Exeter City's 1969 encounter with Manchester United are the classics in this episode.
Time: 19:30 to 22:00 (2 hours and 30 minutes long).
When: Monday 5th January on BBC 1 London (1)
AFC Wimbledon v Liverpool.
Gary Lineker introduces live coverage of the intriguing tie between AFC Wimbledon of League Two and seven-time FA Cup winners Liverpool.
No Mention of 4th Round Draw surely it will be at 1930 ???

Perhaps it will be on Sunday evening after the Arsenal v Hull game.
As the new Radio Times is already out, there is no draw programme on at seven. They've announced it's going to be on a Monday and they are showing a programme of FA Cup football on Monday. It's not like they're not going to show it, is it?
Not sure it was noted but our (Scunthorpe) 3rd round game with either MK Dons or Chesterfield is still scheduled to be part of the Third Round set of games, it's set for Tuesday 6th January 7.45 pm.
As today's game with Sheffield United has been postponed it means we will have had 10 days without a game by the time the game rolls around. The victor of the replayed game by contrast will have played on the 26th, the 28th, the 2nd, and then again on the 6th! From what I've seen both set of fans see the replay as a huge inconvenience who will almost certainly not want extra time.
If there's any other games that night I presume they'll be shown at the end of the live replay programme (certainly ought to be in my opinion anyway, would make sense).

Leicester can't play Sunday as Leicester Tigers are scheduled to play Bath (live on BT) and both teams can't play at the same time in the city.
Doesn't mean it couldn't have been Monday or Tuesday.
Exactly, Burnley managed to get their match put on the Monday for whatever reason, no reason why Leicester/Newcastle cant be either.

The Same Player stepped up again 22 penalties later to take the decisive penalty
And he scored !!!
Scunthorpe were going second so they had to take a penalty to stay in the game almost every time
Not only that, they had to score it too;-)

Or is that too easy?

As well as an FA Cup themed Question Of Sport on Fri 2nd Jan.
Just in-vision reporters then?
Edit: Er, scrap that it's on 1pm-5.20pm on 601 (BBC Red Button)
And then go live to Arsenal
