Looking forward to this match. Is it me or does it seem some what strange to have an evening with no football match tonight?

I agree, it is horrible having no football to watch. Still, gives us a chance to catch our breath before what should be seven great nights of action. I think Portugal will win but would not bet my mortgage on it.Or any other result for that matte.

Hard to see Portugal not going through but my irrational dislike of Portugal will have me cheering on the Czechs. Even with the woeful Baros leading the line.

Portugal to win with relative ease or a penalty lottery in the event the Czechs can hold out for 0-0.

Yes i feel the same way, cant see Portugal losing this game,
far harder group.Portugal been playing well against stronger opposition than Czechs. you never know Ronaldo may not be in the mood.if he is goodbye Czechs.

I only twigged in the last match that it was the same Baros who use to play for Liverpool, though now with short hair.

Very good sentiments, I hate to see the better team lose, unless they are playing Italy of course. I actually like Portugal`s style and they should win but my tipping skills are non existent.

Baros and Postiga are both terrible.

Ronaldo will - as ever - be the difference.

Like any other good player, the commentator will scream out Ronaldo's name when he has a shot.

Why are they still sat in that sterile studio in Salford? thought they were supposed to be flying out to thew venues for the 1/4 finals?

Shearer's back pitchside. And so his permanent inane grin.

I suspect the 'reveal' will be done for the England vs Italy game.

Indeed; his and Jake's teeth provide more illumination than the floodlights at the stadium they're broadcasting from.

Why does Shearer keep going back and forth from UK - Poland/Ukraine?
