Basically any 'diet' that involves a radical change in what you eat or severely restricts calories or food groups to promise that weight loss is not going to work in the long term. People might lose weight but if they go back to the way they ate before the diet, they will put weight back on, it's pretty simple logic but the diet industry is worth billions so clearly people are either easily duped or desperate or both.
Another waste of time like the junk science on Horizon the other night. The only added delight this time was fat people moaning that, despite not actually sticking to any diets, it was the diets that were to blame and not the them.
