Books about acting/plays/the stage

Could be the first of many similar posts if this works.

Has anybody got any recommendations for books about acting/plays/the stage? Mainly fictional, although worthwhile memoirs etc would be good. Suitable for ages 11-18 and beyond.

    Pamela Brown wrote a series of books about acting, the Blue Door series, one was 'The Swish of the Curtain', maybe a bit dated for today's children though.

    Eleanor Catton's first novel 'The Rehearsal' a lot of that is about acting and the characters in the novel come across as roles in a play.

    Yes I have this one on the list :) I really enjoyed it

    I'll investigate the Blue Door series puddytat :)
