  I opted for OpenElec but I may investigate Raspbmc soon.

  ah ok - i just invested in the rpi a few days ago with little knowledge...
  Just installed raspbmc and some programs with it. Do you stream sports at all?

  I haven't been streaming much at all actually.
  It's mainly acting as a bittorrent client and video player at the moment.

  Raspbmc have their own forums where yiu you will be amazed at what it it can do. Just search web for the forum.
