Back in the 70s, I was a massive Cassidy fan - I had posters all over my walls, I never missed The Partridge Family, I went to his concert in White City and I waved him off at Heathrow (me and thousands of other screaming teens!) but I suppose years of various substance abuse has to take its toll.
His face looked very shiny and wrinkle-free though. ;-)
Graham Norton was on TM agreeing with Eammon and Ruth about David Cassidy. He interviewed him and said he liked him and had been really looking forward to it but he was miserable and bitter, as if he hated the fact that he'd ever been David Cassidy. Compared him unfavourably to Donny Osmond who embraces his past and the fans and is a happy chappy.

Graham Norton also said his interview with Lindsay Wagner was one of this worst:
"But she obviously fancied a trip to London, I met her for lunch, I stroked her arm, I fed her and then she came on the show and just sat there like a bionic lump. She didn't speak."
Alcoholism is often inherited, his father Jack burned to death in 1976 after he fell asleep in a drunken stupor with a lit cigarette in his hand, he was only 49.
There were 100s of online comments two weeks ago suggesting that Eamonn should not be kicking a man when he's down, but he has obviously decided to take no notice of them, bringing up the David Cassidy interview again with Graham Norton.
He and Ruthie laughed at Norton's cruel and nasty description of David's hair. I think that was very low and unforgivable.

There was a grin but he didn't comment, he changed the subject.

Eamon was just being human and that's why I love him and Ruth working together. Its for real folks!
Of course Eamon is human but we expect better behaviour from those in his position. We don't expect him to practically join David C in a large drink. You might just as well say David Blaine is only human, or Kerry Katona is only human.
Two wrongs don't make a right. Professionals should behave like professionals.

The idea of this inane nonsense questioning technique from Eamonn is apparently imported from Fox News in the USA.
Supposedly it winds up the person being interviewed and then they go "pop!" for everyone's entertainment. It says something about Sky news I suppose that they would do this to the leader of a political party rather than actually interview him.
Jeremy Corbyn is as laid back as it's possible to be and still be awake, so it didn't work with him and Eamonn came across like the crazy person.
I have to disagree with this. Eamonn was just makng the point that as a boss Corbyn has to lead from the top and not accept dissent within his party. He was saying that being nice and treating everyone with respect is impossible in politics which is possibly true, just look at what happened to John Major.

I once saw him cut off a caller addicted to pain killers on "This Morning" with "We feel your pain"

One of the major problems,
I think its time he faced facts. You cant so shows like BOTS and being around the CBB studio when the main subject matter is who crapped on the toilet seat. He then does this morning with articles so lightweight they need a paperweight.
then do heavy hitting interviews using the same style he uses for the other shows. Before he seemed to have a lot more control over the serious interviews and the lightweight ones.
There's been a general sneer from a lot of the media about what JC actually wants. yet for 10 years they had nothing but spin and not really answering a Question and that wasn't right. Change seems to scare the hell out of just about everyone in the media.
"hard left".. you never hear them mention "hard right", And a lot of policies flying around really could use that Tag lets be honest. I think Eamonn can seriously think hard what direction he wants the more lightweight stuff or the more serious side he's been trending on twitter for most of the day for all the wrong reasons.
Sky already have that instant trender Kat Burley I really don't think he wants to go down that route once people lose respect for him he wont get a chance at the major interviews

He wasn't criticisng his politics, he prettymuch admitted at the start that even people who didn't like labour or socialism couldn't argue with what he's said. He did have to steer the interview away from ideals and was upfront about that but I don't think it's harsh to ask Corbyn if he isn't living in cloud cuckoo land.

The football analogies were terrible, the Labour party is a democratic organisation, it's not the Old Trafford dressing room where only the manager's opinion counts.
Alan Partridge lives for real, in the body of Eamonn Holmes it seems. Two hugely cringeworthy interviews inside the month. I reckon Holmes rates himself as a far better hard news hack than the evidence of his Corbyn interview would suggest.

It's true she didn't say much for the first minute and half but...bionic lump?...the worst interview?
Damn!

She seems very animated for a 'lump'. He must have just not liked her very much because she seems talkative and engaging in that footage.
Eamon has always struck me as arrogant and unpleasant, he seems to lack the professionalism of Philip Schofield.

I wouldn't go that far!:D:D:p

I feel embarrassed looking at it
