I made some pasties in the week and they were very tasty..here is the recipe if you wanna give it a go :)

mince beef
one small brown onion finely chopped
just roll puff pastry ( i cheated :p), but i just used half and froze other half
tin of chopped tomatoes
frozen peas
seasoning
spices ( herbs of whatever you have in )
tomato puree
beef stock
grated carrot
dash of nutmeg

fry onions in wok
add mince and cook until brown
add seasoning
add other ingredients once the mince has cooked through and the sauce has thickened
let simmer and do the pastry
Roll out half of the block of pastry onto a floured surface
Roll pastry thin and evenly
i used a cereal bowl to cut the rounds with
put bit of mince mixture into the middle
put a dash of egg/milk round the pastry edges
carefully seal down and use a fork to make a little pattern to seal edge
prick the tops of the uncooked pastry
do this until all mixture and pastry is used up
glaze over the tops with egg or little milk to brown
put in hot oven until nice and golden on the top
i served pasty with some mash potato
i have also frozen 3 left over pasties for another time and will have one again tomorrow Sunday
..tastes nicer than bought ones and you know whats in home made ..this is what they look like

    They look tasty Orangemaid :)

I often make one large Minced-beef pie using a similar recipe to yours, but had never thought of making individual pasties so will try this next time, thanks for the idea.

    aww your welcome :)

a work colleague borrowed me her mince meals cook book, and glanced through it and saw those..They were meant to be pies , but didn't have time to make them with work, so i turned them into pasties instead..they were tasty..Let us know if you make them..i think i put them in for 20 to 25 mins on about 180 until golden brown

Splitting heirs but they look more like jamacian patties. Nothing wrong with that. You haven't listed seasoning so it could be taken in a carribean direction.

They look great. Could happily eat one now with some mash or chips.
Thanks for the recipe, always good to try something different to my usual meal ideas.
