It's similar to a Panini Press but it seals the bread. You end up with a toasted sandwhich that looks like this with 2 pockets of melted cheese inside
LOL
AAaaahhhhhhh............. Sortof gotya now ..............Thats not a " cheese " toaster though ................. By your own definition it also toasts mince ( LOL ) .......... We just call those " toastie machines " ...........
I had me left over lasagne, and reheated it, and then i got some bread out( cos i remembered this thread..lol), and made a butty..I cut some warm lasagne and slapped it in a butty..It was delicious indeed

It's amazing isnt it, I always reheat lasagne in the microwave and slop it between bits o bread.
I think many would prefer that but if you're out and about and have a short time for lunch then it is one more option.
I agree with the white bread though. Eating supermarket sandwiches several days a week almost put me off white bread.
I would only eat sandwiches made with the multi-grain bread such as BLT or Ploughmans.
Still haven't been tempted by the lasagne sandwich but I've just had one of the Tesco onion bhaji sandwich (zapped in the microwave) and it wasn't bad at all.

Cold Lasagne is so much better than hot in my opinion, it holds together so much better. Wouldn't buy it from Tesco though, I don't like their bread, prefer boots sandwiches.

Me too, although I use pitta bread!
Have also been known to stuff my lasagne into pitta pockets - for this reason alone I try not serve much bread with lasagne (too many carbs!!).
I'd not buy the Tesco Sarnie though, I am not a fan of shop sarnies!
LOL

I just retched
Quite nice actually. Soft white bread, tasty thick cheese and the lasagne was very nice.
Of course, a bit wierd it being cold, and its too high in fat for a daily sandwich, although it didnt actually feel heavy at all.
Did you eat it with a knife and fork?
I'd rather have hot lasagne with a fresh crusty roll.

That would actually be nice though...just the once
...but then had second thoughts and stuck to my usual ham, cheese & pickle.

I feel that too - cold lasagne on a sandwich? :kitty: yuk
I've often had fish fingers in a sandwich though (with tomato ketchup)
EDIT: I've just noticed this thread is from 2010. So I take it the idea didn't take off ;-)
