Hi,
my iphone gets a great 3G signal and good download speeds but when calling someone they always say they can hardly hear me or it sounds echoey. Anyone else have this problem?
Does this sound like a hardware fault or could it be a network problem? I'm on Orange by the way.
Thanks,
Tom

if so try borrowing a sim card form someone with a different network
Orange do sometimes have voice problems i had it for a while it was something to do with there mask wasn't working properly.
Edit, no phone is locked to Orange.
Phones are always locked to Orange unless you buy it form somewhere like the Carphonewarehouse if brought from Orange shop it will be locked.
If brought direct from Apple then No the phone will not be locked.
It took quite a few weeks before they decided to fix the mask
but been fine since
a lot of the problems Orange are having is because they have to many customers using the network that's why they brought T-Mobile so they can use there masks as well
May be go into Orange shop that's near you and ask if there is any trouble with there masks near you
Other then that you will have to try and get Orange to exchange your phone or were you brought it from.
i have to hang up or please loud speaker and press it again to activate handsets speaker, after going through the motions with apple i have to go to them to get the handset swapped, just hope stock is not an issue as i was lucky to get mine
