Is it just me or do the headlines load first with a lighter typeface which is then replaced after a second or two with what seems to be the bold equivalent? It's been like that since (I believe) the redesign.

No doubt this isn't intended, but the software I have seen this on is mainstream (W7 and both Firefox/IE latest versions) so am curious if others see it too.

    I don't see it on my iPad.

    Have you tested a different browser?

    I have trouble with the Guardian site on my ipad mini 2. It crashes or slows up similar to this site sometimes.
