Remembrance of the Daleks - Erm, what about the Thals?! (SPOILER)

So the Doctor blows up Skaro.

But I was watching Planet of the Daleks earlier, and remembered: didn't the Thals also live there?

THE DOCTOR KILLED THE THALS TOO?!!

    Death to the Daleks showed the Thals had developed Space flight and Destiny of the Daleks showed Skaro was abandoned by everyone.

    So presumably they had all left Skaro by the time it blew up (if it did, books/audios and possibly the new series all suggest it survived).

    There's a good chance that the Thals were wiped out by the Daleks long before the Remote Stellar Manipulator did it's thing.

    I know its not Canon but the Thals appear to recapture Davros in an attempt to turn them into a Dalek like creature.

    Yes, we don't know at what point in history Skaro was destroyed. Thals could have upped and awayed by that time.
