Nice choices. The track by The Litter - do you have that on the Arf Arf Garageaholic/Psychedelic/Outsider Music sampler? Crikey, there are some rum selections on there!
As you can probably tell I'm really taken with this album and wholeheartedly recommend it to you. I shall probably visit it again just one more time this week (unless I run out of internet!), then if you want to hear more you'll have to buy it!
My last visit (at least for the purposes of this thread) to Garagemental! The Cuca Records Story, and it's for two sides of the same 45, the only record ever cut by Joe Giannunzio, aka Joey Gee & the Come-Ons, although that session also produced a couple of covers that are also included on this excellent album.
Bit of a hint of Slim Harpo's 'I Got Love If You Want It' in this one. That's well outside the remit of this thread, but here it is for comparison anyway. See what you think:
Three absolute crackers from 1967 from me today. One from Donovan , who is rather unfairly in my view sometimes referred to disparagingly as a poor man's Dylan rip-off, and two from the Electric Prunes, one of the very best psych/garage bands of the 60s.
Two very different tracks from one-time Ikette (Ike Turner's backing singers) Pat Powdrill. The first is northern soul, the second psychedelia. Both excellent in their own way.
I've decided to take a bit of a break from my page by page review of the thread, because, for the first time in absolutely ages, I've actually got some tracks to submit that are new to the thread.
Three cover versions of songs originally recorded by the Four Seasons have topped the UK singles chart. Here are the originals:-
The Four Seasons - Silence is Golden (1964)
Chart topping version: The Tremeloes (1967).
Good though the Tremeloes' cover is, I much prefer the original version, which started its life as the B-side to the magnificent Rag Doll.
Frankie Valli - The Sun Ain't Gonna Shine Anymore (1965)
Chart topping version: The Walker Brothers (1966).
The original version was actually recorded by the Four Seasons, but for whatever reason the only name to appear on the record label was that of their lead singer, Frankie Valli.
This time my preference is definitely for the cover version. I feel the song suits Scott Walker's voice much better than it does Frankie Valli's. The original version, however, is still worth a listen.
The Four Seasons - Working My Way Back To You (1966)
Chart topping version: The Detroit Spinners (1980).
I cannot stand the Detroit Spinners version of this song. It's Disco for crying out loud!
Thankfully, the original version, which I like a great deal, isn't.

i didnt know the first two tracks were covers! lol.. not keen on male falsetto, although frankie vallis are ok, but compared to scott walker?...no thanks!
I've been submitting a lot of garage lately so as a change here's two soulful ladies for you this week - but two very different numbers in terms of tempo and style. The first got to no3 in the US charts, so as such doesn't strictly qualify for this thread, but when did you last hear it on the radio? I'm submitting it as a forgotten gem. The second? Well, all I'm saying is crank it up loud and stand well back.
