The worst was that nurse from corrie who Todd had a fling with. That made it seem like all gay men are predatorial!
As long as people keep on claiming that a gay character 'represents' gay people badly then we'll never get anywhere.
eg. Sean in Corrie is camp, he makes people think all gay guys are camp.
eg. Karl was a sexual predator, he made people think all gay guys are predatory.
Until viewers accept that gay characters aren't there to 'represent' gay people, then how can shows be expected to give gay characters good storylines?
