I've ordered two - got the second one through quidco and it tracked at £20 quid as well. email confirming it will be honoured for both as well.
does seem to be an annual marketing ploy from t-mobile though - i suspect they hope a certain percentage of people will stay with the company in 12 months time.
Thanks for placing an order with T-Mobile for the £8 SIM only pack.
There was an error on the shop which meant that your £8 SIM only was advertised as free each month. We will honour this mistake and your SIM will be with you shortly, we have had a lot of orders because of this error so please allow up to 7 days for delivery.

Clever way to sell up to 4G somewhere down the line?
i think that's the point of the "deal" - they did something similar last year around this time. they've probably got a percentage figure in mind of people they want to remain with the company to go on more expensive contracts, so it's just as much a win for them as it is for those who get a free contract.

Is there a way to add 4G to this zero-cost contract as an add-on at some later time? I confess to not really keeping up to how T-Mobile (and EE) have been selling 4G!

4G only on EE so it will never be available on T-Mobile.

Something else I had failed to follow! Orange and T-Mobile are now EE - and the shops have been rebranded "EE" to a degree. But they continue to trade separately and also sometimes as EE only?????
considering they seemingly do this every year, can't see why you can't just cancel and re-order another free one next year - if the same address doesn't work, use the address of someone you know ..

Wonder if 08xx numbers are included in these plans? If so I may get another one

On quidco, i went to 'mobiles' then 'pay monthly' and then "t-mobile".
just clicked the "visit site and get cashback" link - i'd cleared all my quidco and t-mobile cookies beforehand though, just to be on the safe side.

Does the sim cancel after 12 months or turn into a rolling contract?
