Lylas were awful. Send them home. They well and truly butchered my favourite Taylor Swift song

They wasn't brilliant but you haven't liked them from the get go. One quick scan of your posting history shows that. It seems you're some kind of Little Mix fanatic worried at the thought of a little competition

Does anyone know where I can watch the whole episode?

Actually after watching back 1432, the performance wasn't as bad as the judges were making out to be...it was a great performance I enjoyed it. Camilla shone- her and Dinah are my favourites. But the name is awful, I really hope they consider a name-change and it has to happen tonight. :o

    Bottom two:
    Arin Ray Vs Diamond White
    Sister C Vs Lyric 45
    Willie Jones Vs Paije

The song choice was absolutely horrible for almost all the contestants, the first show was like a total car crash lol

At this point i would send them all home

LA- Completely the wrong songs for everyone, even tate was boring and predictable.

Demi- none of the songs suited any of her contestants, very obscure choices.

Britney- did not like even one of the songs.

Simon- only 2 of them were acceptable

The theme was atrocious...IMO. What was that all about?

    Review from Hollywood Life...

    The Good:
I know Emblem 3 can come off a little douchey sometimes, but they were by far my favorite act of the night with their really catchy version of Matisyahu‘s “One Day.” Demi Lovato basically admitted she wanted to bang all three of them, and I predict the power of teen girls will carry them far in this competition.
Carly Rose Sonenclar is hands-down the best singer in this competition — and she’s only 13 years old! She sang “Good Feeling” by Flo Rida, which was a weird song choice, but she still killed it like a pro. “It would be criminal if you leave the competition,” Simon Cowell told her. Mark my words: She will win this whole damn thing!
David Correy took on one of my favorite Whitney Houston songs, “My Love is Your Love,” and while Simon called it “desperate,” I thought his vocals were totally spot-on. Simon’s just a hater!
Meanwhile, firecracker Jennel Garcia also shined among the mediocrity. She received a mini-makeover and took on Motley Crue‘s classic “Home Sweet Home.” L.A. Reid told her she could easily win this competition!
    The Bad:
Country group Sister C sang “Hell On Heels” by the Pistol Annies, and while they are definitely good singers, they’re just… annoying. I don’t know what Britney Spears was thinking when she said they “really delivered.” Delivered what, exactly?
Even the adorable Diamond White couldn’t pull off Train‘s “Hey Soul, Sister.” It was a terrible song choice and the whole performance was underwhelming. Still, Simon said it was a “massive improvement” for her. (I don’t know about that.)
Cutie Arin Ray sang “You Keep Me Hangin’ On” by The Supremes, but we could barely hear his voice through the loud bursts of smoke. Demi said it was “a little stiff,” and Simon wasn’t a fan of the dancers. It was just all wrong for him.
CeCe Frey bleached her hair blonde, and now looks like a porn star. (I’m sorry, but she does!) She sang Patti Smith‘s “Because the Night,” and I don’t think it showed off her voice at all. Still, Simon thinks she’s fearless and is confident she can do better, as am I.
As for Tate Stevens, he’s a nice guy, but throughout his performance of Craig Morgan‘s “Tough,” I was bored out of my mind. Simon said he’s “a good honest man who needs a break,” but is that reason enough to give him $5 million?
I had really high hopes for LYLAS, which now goes by the equally terrible name 1432 for legal reasons, but L.A. was right in saying their rendition of Taylor Swift‘s “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together” sounded like karaoke. Let’s step it up, ladies. You have amazing voices!
    The Ugly:
Paige Thomas sported a newly shaved head and some strange, super-galactic body suit while she sang Haddaway‘s “What Is Love.” For some reason, Simon said she “nailed it.” I thought it did absolutely nothing for her. At all.
Question: who thought it was a good idea for Vino Alan to sing a Nickelback song? That should NEVER be allowed. Simon said he sounded like “some horrible cover singer,” but truth be told, it was probably better than the original — which isn’t saying much, considering it’s Nickelback and all.
Lyric 145 forgot what year it was and sang “Boom! Shake the Room” by DJ Jazzy Jeff & The Fresh Prince. I literally thought I was in a bad ’80s music video, complete with the neon MC Hammer pants. Hell, the eyepatch girl wore a plastic garbage bag as a coat! L.A. said it “wasn’t hip-hop.” (It wasn’t even music!)
Beatrice Miller and her ridiculously frizzy hair sang Jason Mraz‘s hit “I Won’t Give Up.” Her vocals were pretty bad, but can we talk about her Avril Lavigne getup? She’s too good for this!
Mr. Entertainment himself, Jason Brock, was definitely entertaining — but not in a good way. Simon called his version of “Dance Again” by Jennifer Lopez “utterly horrendous.” And, yeah, that about sums it up.
Willie Jones was also one of my least favorites with his performance of Gretchen Wilson‘s “Here for the Party.” He wore a Sunday church suit with leather pants and half-naked girls dancing around him. Simon was right when he called the whole thing “silly.” What WAS that?

I was disappointed too, they should have had a generic theme like number one hits to begin the live shows that would have guaranteed some good song selections.

They should have chosen a generic theme like number one hits or something along those lines, that would have guaranteed some good song choices.

Despite having the wrong choice of songs, I enjoyed 1432, Beatrice and Jennel.

To be honest I just felt gutted for them all, 1432(what kind of crazy name is that) did well with the song, so did Emblem3, Beatrice did well also, so did Jennel, i just did not get any of the song choices at all. I nearly cried for Vino, that song ws terrible for him, i felt like LA did it on purpose to kick him out, since he always had problems with his image.

Carly sang well also, but the song was a huge NO NO

Paige - Bit of a mess. Interesting though. Her voice wasn't great.
Arin - The steam was too distracting and from what I could hear he was mediocre.
David - Holy crap. That was fantastic. Song choice was a little bit weird, but his high range is fantastic.
Sister C - I liked them more than I expected to, but they're still not particularly interesting.
Jennel - One of my two favourites of the night. Totally nailed it.
Diamond - Crap song choice. Brought out the worst in her voice instead of the best.
Vino - God I loathe Nickelback... Weak opening kind of ruined the whole thing for me.
Lyric 145 - Lyric Da Queen has phenomenal stage presence. Gangnam Style is neither rap nor Made in America though...
CeCe - She can do a lot better vocally. The choreography made her seem a bit too breathy at times.
    Tate Stevens - Dull.
Beatrice - Struggled a bit with the belting, but mostly very solid.
Jason - He's vocally better than that song. It was just a bit of a joke really.
1432 - Need to learn how to gel better as a group. Harmonies were sang like they were competing rather than complimenting eachother vocally. I do agree Camilla's the best though.
Willie - Didn't really play to his strengths either. He totally flopped.
Carly - Vocally annihilated absolutely everyone tonight. The performance was forced though. She better not be ruined...
Emblem 3 - Why is everyone heaping praise on them? Didn't think much of them.

Also Britney's commentary is vapid and pointless in pretty much every way. I think she told absolutely everyone "I found it interesting/entertaining." In fact for one person, can't remember who she literally said "I honestly, found it very entertaining. That's all." Demi's commentary is very good though.

Chloe Kardashian is awful as well. The way she pushed Demi after 1432 was awkward as hell.

Do not like Emblem3, I think they are up-on-their-own-arse, at least the two older ones. :D

But last night they did deliver, it's gotta be said.
I think last night only Emblem3 and Tate Stevens did what they were supposed to do. Some may call Tate boring, but he did deliver

Everyone else had poor songchoices and were a total letdowns. Most dissapointed I'm with Willie Jones :( That song ruined him.

Also, I'm a bit miffed with some of the makeovers. Many of them lost their persona while trying to act all popstar. You have to be yourself.

AND YES, I will yackatiyack about Britney, much to some people's delight here. :D But I do believe that there is nothing anyone can do to defend her judging last night....

She was a total bore. She did not give the acts any good advice or feedback, she was not even able to put it into words what she felt herself. She is not verbally intelligent, cause the only things she was able to say were "you suprised me", "i loved it", "i liked it", "I'm proud of you"........

    One sentence feedback to everyone.
Oh, thrill. She is so good....

Thumbs up for Demi for at least being able to give feedback to the contestants.

And getting back to the acts:
This happened last year and it's happened again. It's so embarrasing to see Simon, who once only spoke the truth to praise each act now in his attempt to make it seem that this show has the best talent ever on any contest. Yeah, it might of looked that way in the beginning but performing live really shows brutally who is up for it and who is not. :o And based on last night, not many are ready to take the world by storm.

Last night was quite bad to be honest, I think my expectations might have been too high but the quality of the performances from JH wasn't matched at all.

I really dislike Kardashian as a host too.

Just catching up, Britney wearing an earpiece?

These hosts are almost as bad as Steve Jones.

Is it cold there? The female presenters nipples are showing through her clothing.

Carly: Goosebumps at the acapella part, kind of wished it was all acapella but glad she got a chance to show off her performance skills. 10/10
Emblem3: Loved it. I am ready for their album and I'm glad the extra one got a chance to sing, he's quite good! 9/10
Jennel: Her choppy fringe is awful but she is a star! I didn't think she deserved to make the live shows but I loved this performance. 8/10
Arin: AMAZING. Love the rework of this song, makes him sound really relevant, he looked really comfortable on the stage too. 8/10
Jason: Novelty act but good voice. Pleasantly surprised. 7/10
Sister C: Really good. I want adventurous song choices for them. 7/10
Paige: WHY SHAVE HER HEAD DEMI?? She can't hit them low notes but she sounds and looks like a popstar, wrong song for her though. 6/10
Beatrice: I didn't even remember her, bad styling, sloppy vocals but wow good voice. In 5 years she'll be unstoppable. 6/10
1432: And I thought LYLAS was a bad name, I loved the beginning but then it went all wrong. They all have good voices though but they don't look or seem like a group. 6/10
Diamond: Loved the production and performance but the vocals were lacking and a little strained sometimes. Britney has really done a good job making her into a popstar though. 6/10
Lyric145: Lyric Da Queen is just a star. Pointless mashup, Gangnam Style didn't belong in the performance. The rest was great though. Is that the type of music they would be doing after the show finishes though? I'm not sure. 5/10
Vino: The beginning wasn't very good, but if L.A has any chance of making the final, it's with Vino. Love his voice but quite disappointed by this performance. 4/10
David: I don't appreciate the sad energy he put into that song, he sounded really emotional at the beginning and that's not what the song is all about, good voice though. 4/10
Tate: Just standard, a bit boring. 4/10
Cece: I miss the leopard print on the face. Vocals weren't strong enough. Stupid song choice too. Good energy though. 3/10
Willie: Everything felt forced, vocals aren't what they were in his audition. *Louis Walsh voice* He reminds me of an American, country, Marcus Collins. 3/10
Judges: Simon was pretty much spot on, he basically said everything I was thinking. Demi was adorable but overly critical sometimes. L.A was feisty as hell and Britney didn't really offer anything as a judge.
Hosts: Mario did ok and Khloe didn't start out well but got better and better as the show went on but she still needs more practice but congrats on her for pressuring Demi into an answer on the star of 1432.
Want to go: Willie, Tate, 1432, Beatrice
Think will go: Paige, Jason, Sister C, Diamond

I think a huge problem is the overproduction of their stageacts.

The is too much stuff going on for these inexperienced acts. They don't know how to cope with it.

Instead of just letting them concentrate on what they do best, SING, they are bouncing on the stage here and there, trying to dance and sing live at the same time. They are not ready for that yet. They are too inexperienced for that.

Watching the live shows on Irish tv! So far:

1.Sister C - i actually love their voices....i think they would be amazing country singers and thy have been the best singers so far

2.David C - has a great voice, but agree with Simon he tried way too hard, great voice though.
3.Diamond - i love her voice, but think the song was crap
4.Cece - i liked her! Her vocals did lack a little while she was dancing, but she gave it 100% and really went for it! it was fun and memorable!

5.Arin - he did well, he has a good voice but lacking something? Would like to see more from him though
5.Jennel - Didnt live up to her potential for me at all, was disappointed with her performance, just thought she would be amazing and for me fell a little flat still pretty good though
6.Paige - looks amazing, definite stage presence but her oice is so so I thought she did pretty good though.

7.Lyrics145 - they have TONNES of potential, like serious potential and more stage presence then anyone, but the mash up was CHEESY. LA was totally right, they are way too good for that - someone needs to stop Simon from picking their songs!
    8. Veno - very disappoing from him, and I am a fan, terrible song choice by LA

    More to come!

I'm worried for CeCe...if she's in the bottom two then she's gone. Demi has made it clear from day one that she loves Paige, and I can't see her getting rid of Willie as he's the only guy she has and there's nobody else like him in the competition.
