Here comes another idiot slating everybody over their music . She must think just because she has a crap song that's gone No. 1, she feels the need to judge other artists and her collaborating David Guetta could have even promoted her and more people could know about her. If she doesn't want to collaborate with him, it doesn't mean she should call him "gross", she should just say No, thanks. Simple.

Jake Bugg was the other offender. No amount of talent masks an ugly personality.
It's like her earlier comments on Selena Gomez, where she isn't actually slating Gomez...but rather her song 'Come & Get It'.
David's new album is more alternative. If people weren't judgmental and actually did some basic research, they'd know David Guetta is a massive advocate of Indie artists. Its just very few of those tracks become singles.
From what we sorta know, Lorde would have fitted right in on his next album.
Its sad she thinks she's "better" than her peers, like Sia, Mikky Ekko and Tegan and Sarah.
Lorde - Pure Heroine : Metacritic score 78.
Says it all really.
Her style of music wouldn't work well with Guetta
She doesn't do dance shit, she does alternative folksy baroque pop music
She very likely doesn't want a well know producer to give her hits. She didn't need any one well known to do Royals and all her debut.
I know the press seem happy to pretend it isn't true but she's actually been with Universal Records since she was 12. There are 20-something global stars (well at least one I can think of ) who have been 'in the industry' for less time. To be fair I also can't stand Guetta and his seemingly weekly 'releases' but when you are in the spotlight it's sometimes best to temper your more extreme opinions, if only for the sake of not allowing the press to run with them. Plus extreme success like Lorde is now experiencing at such a tender age historically tends to not end all that well. If I was Universal (and/or her parents) and taking into account her propensity to cause controversy, I think it would have been better to leave her a couple more years before launching her.
You really are obsessed with metacritic, aren't you?
PS Arctic Monkeys - Average metacritic career score: 78 (over 5 albums). Won't be long before you're stanning for them.
What's she doing wrong.
Plus anyone who runs a mile from David Guetta; slags off Disney Pop; and Cher Lloyd is clearly on the right side of good music taste.
She was first "discovered" by New Zealands most famous singer/songwriter Neil Finn (Crowded House/Split Enz) when she was 13 at some local Auckland talent contest performing some self-composed songs, and his connections saw her signed to Universal, who have groomed her similar to how Kate Bush was groomed by EMI after being "discovered" by Pink Floyd's Dave Gilmour.
Of course Kate Bush turned out to be a flash in the pan after being ridiculed at the time by the tabloid British media and comedians .... oh hang on.
Maybe you should stick to Miley Cyrus soft porn videos and her tune free records.
What? And I'm not convinced your predictions as to what will happen in the future are very reliable. Didn't you predict in July on here that Lana Del Rey's career was effectively 'over' after her alleged Gaga diss song leaked? You know, a month or 2 before she had her first US Hot 100 Top 10? You need to calm down a tad because you've totally misinterpreted my post in your haste to post an aggressive response. My worry is nothing to do with her possibly being a flash in the pan at all, it's more to do with what extreme fame at such a young age can do to someone mentally. Being as you mentioned Kate Bush check out her history. Get it now?
PS Is it right about Neil Finn? I do remember you stating as fact that Lana's manager was Troy Carter when in actual fact it turned out to be 2 lawyers from London
She seems like a female Jake Bugg, attacking any artist more famous than her just to appeal more to a certain group of the music buying public.
She's more contrived than even the most manufactured popstar.
VERY unlikely!
I get so sick of people assuming every artist is obsessed with having chart hits... I'm sure some would much rather write their own material and sell enough records and tickets to get by, than have a multi-million seller with someone like Guetta!
Lana's USA manager was Troy Carter, and his "masterminding" of her career breakthrough in America on Interscope went seamlessly well didn't it....... NOT! Let's face it everyone remembers her Saturday Night Live performances, a pity it was not for the right reasons. And the way he initially failed to control the backlash and fall out from it resulting in her being a figure of ridicule in the USA (as well as putting huge question marks in Stefani Germanotta head about his managerial ability, something she has apparently finally lost patience with in the past week), and it is little wonder the former Lizzie Grant dumped him for the two Brits at Polydor who'd done a great job in contrast orchestrating her hugely successful campaign in Europe.
The album Born To Die was the 5th best selling album worldwide of 2012; the 91st best seller in the USA of 2012; and the 3rd best seller in Europe of 2012 tells its own story.
Right now Lana Del Rey can be compared with Suzanne Vega after she allowed an album worth of remixes of her Tom's Diner track which became the biggest commercial success of her career, yet simultaneously killed her credibility; resulting in the core "hipster" folk fan base who bought her previous albums to disown her on her subsequent releases. Whilst that ghastly Summertime Sadness remix is just dumbed down with a sleazy disco/club beat while also speeding it up and totally destroying the mood of the song; so selling out to the masses; but a huge turn off to alienate the Quietus/Pitchfork/Radio 6 Music fanbase who made her a critical success in the first place.
The one big difference, is today the record buying public are more dumber and less discerning than they were in the 1980s/early 1990s thanks to a decade of Simon Cowell talent shows corrupting their musical sensibilities; and aren't bothered as to whether an act is control of their career; or is a manufactured pop bimbo who dials in their vocals.
As for Lorde; Ella Yelich-O'Connor played a showcase gig as a 13 year old at Neil Finn's owned Pajama Club in Auckland; which was a key component in her getting signed by Universal. With her mother being Sonja Yelich (a very famous poet in New Zealand) then you could argue much like Lily Allen having family connections helped her to get noticed. And it is on this point, and that point alone, that haters have some validity to bash her.
Personally I think Pure Heroine is as hugely impressive debut album, as her live performances to date suggests she is an artist who will be around for a long time, provided she wants to be and can continue to write interesting left field melodic pop songs..
