What do men in their 30s wear to nightclubs nowadays?

I've got a gig I'm going to and I don't want to be over or under dressed and look out of place.

Any replies would be much appreciated.

Have a great week everyone.

Smart jeans, shirt and smart shoes (avoid black shoes if possible, brown is best).

Thanks I will probably go down this route I hate wearing shirts though I wore one for a funeral recently and hated every moment of wearing it.

Nice pair of fitted jeans (not flared ones or bootcut), ted baker shirt and brown lace-up brogues.

It depends on what type of club you go to mind but the men in the clubs I go to in London very rarely wear shirts or shoes, and would look out of place if they did. They tend to wear Jeans and T-shirts and the majority of them are all (now) over 30. Clubs get hot and if you are going to be on your feet all night you need comfortable clothes and shoes or trainers.

Depends on the club I'd say.

Can't really go wrong with some skinny jeans and a shirt though.

DON'T wear skinny jeans unless you want to look like an ageing tosser.

I just turned 30 on the 6th of September, and I promise you I look good in my skinny jeans.

Easy - men over 30 shouldn't go to nightclubs.

If its just a gig - jeans and a t-shirt

Depends on the type of club I suppose. I remember seeing them when I was younger and everyone laughing at the guys in their 30s/40s dancing badly and ogling the younger ladies. These were cheesy clubs though which seem to be dying out thankfully. Proper club nights - drum'n'bass was my particular love in the early 2000's - were bit more accepting. Probably because everyone was properly mashed!

There as special club nights for the older generation to re-live their youth. There is one called "Grown-ups" in Edinburgh which we went to and it was a laugh! All the music was 80s/90s and everyone rushed off at midnight to get back to relieve the babysitter.

But that makes it perfectly fine if you are an ageing tosser. If you've got it, why not flaunt it?

Wow!! All these people saying that men in their 30's should not be wearing skinny jeans or going to night clubs...you obviously know sweet f*** all about fashion. I really hope the people saying these things are in their 50's, because if you're in your 30's and saying it then my god, I dread to think what you must look like. Probably sitting in your arm chair in a pair of baggy boot cut jeans and wearing a bowler hat.
