as title says "Screen Mirroring" from android to chromecast is now here.
It is only in Beta form and limited to a number of handsets.

However, in the pulldown settings (this screen: http://www.laptopmag.com/images/uploads/3929/g/settings-drawer.jpg) you should see an option labelled "Cast Screen" which works.
I tried it with Sky Go (since Sky are being greedy again and will soon start charging to use the service on an Xbox!) and it doesn't support Mira Cast so can't be used.
Then tried to use it with Netflix to get around the DNS locking problem when using the Netflix app to watch shows from USA, Mexico etc. and while the picture was lovely, the sound was about 6 seconds out of sync so pretty unwatchable.
Tried a few games, but too laggy to be useful. Tried surfing the net and although this works the best, you still have to look at your phone/tablet to see where you are clicking so kinda makes it a little pointless!
Checked on web and 4.4.2 has been rolled out in spain but not ulk yet as far as I can tell. However, it is possible to download update file and install manually (at your risk of course).

Note: update file takes over 10 hrs to download if you choose free option, or less than 1 hr if you pay.
Another4 UK user says he used it and successfulyy flashed kitkat.
Fingers crossed, mine works tonight.
Updated to 4.4.2. On note 10.1 mirror casting was very good with no lag.
I can now cast from my slingbox to TV without using a laptop. Only problem with mirror casting is you cannot use tablet at same time. Still waiting proper sling cast option for tablet or phone.
I tried casting 4od off my laptop in Chrome and that worked pretty well. Hard to tell for sure as our broadband is so crap (1.2mbps!).
