Maybe it's a luxury to study abroad, and not a right we think we're owed?
It may be something that is taken for granted, but is it inherently wrong that we can't study in a European country of our choosing?
There's going to be costs one way or another whichever decision we make, and maybe this is just one of those things we have to ask ourselves if we're okay to sacrifice in light of any potential gains we want?

Maybe it is a luxury to study abroad, will it used to be, only available to the people with serious money.
Of course you have to weigh up wether it's worth it for, as you say for the gains YOU want, buts that's not that the message that is coming across, it's well we used to do it before don't worry. The young people of today are not stupid.

They certainly won't...and who will suffer as a result? It certainly won't be the EU. They will be the benefactors.
